"Love it."

And this is when you say, "But I've read so many mixed reviews for this game", and I tell you not to believe any word of them. To scratch the surface, I'd have to say that this game is just great, and that's still not doing it justice. To say that this game is anything but awesome, is bad enough.

Anyway, the controls are probably what make or brake Wii shooters, right? Activision got it down in this game. The only time I can say the controls actually crapped out on me was when the batteries in my Wiimote died. Seriously though, try playing with a pair of old batteries, damn annoying. Aiming is as easy as point and shoot, and it works well every time. It feels so good the first time you take your Thompson to some Germans in level one, and it's all uphill from there.

Another thing I love are the graphics. In my opinion, they're top-notch, considering the Wii isn't a console built for graphical power. Environments are detailed, look authentic, and best of all, ... yeah, they're detailed and authentic looking. The level designs are fantastic. In some stages, you'll have to fight through cities, others the French countryside, and in one level a thick forest and a fuel plant. The characters are designed well too. It's not like Goldeneye when they guys would have that dumb look on their face even as they're being shot in the knee, these guys actually show expression, should you decide to get close enough to see, I usually practiced my marksmanship from afar.

The story is another good point. So we all know the story, I mean, anyone who's sat in a highschool history class knows quite a bit about WWII, am I right? It's in France, been there done that, but instead of yet another game about Operation Overlord, Call of Duty 3 takes it a step forward and describes the events after the Normandy brake out. In this game, you follow 4 soldiers, the American Pvt. Nichols, mostly fighting in cities. There's also British Sgt. Doyle fighting with the French Marqui, Cpl. Cole from Canada, and the Polish Tank driver, um, I don't know how to spell his name, sorry. But he's in a tank! There are a few characters you'll get to know, some live, others die, you know the drill.

There are so many weapons in this game as well. My favorite of them would be the American weapons, considering they're the best. You got Thompsons, BARs, M1 Grand rifles, British Lee Enfields, an assortment of German arms, and many more. My only gripe about the weapons is the lack of pistols, and the fact that bazookas can only be found around the time theirs gonna be a tank rolling in.

In all I love this game, I got it almost a year ago, and I still pop it in from time to time. It has a great replay value, so expect to hear German war cries for a long time.
