Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution
Review by ShadowStarEdge
"Great, but too short."
Naruto Clash of Ninja Revolution is a great game, but it feels as if were rushed to compete with Naruto Rise of a Ninja. It uses the same controls from the previous installments, but with a few minor changes. Characters like Zabuza, Haku, Kiba, Iruka, Mizuki, Akamaru, and Crow were removed from the game. To compensate for this, they added Jiraiya, Tsunade, Itachi, KIsame, Shino, Tenten, and Temari. Let's get on to the review now.
Story 8/10:The story covers the beginning of the Chunnin Exam finals to the part where Team 7 tries to find out what Kakashi's true face looks like. The story seems a bit odd for those who had watched the show because of the lack of certain stages. The lack of certain characters also makes the story impaired.
Gameplay 9/10:This is what this game is centered on. To start off, there are three different gameplay styles, Wiimote and Nunchuck, Classic Controller and Gamecube Controller. I would recommend the Gamecube conroller, though you miss the opportunity to power up your specials. If you played the previous installments, playing this game is second nature. If it is your first try, it takes a little while to get used to, the controls are simple. The main reason I gave it a nine is because there is no Wi-Fi play. IT would have been nice because the AI is too simple.
Music/Sound 8/10:Typical Naruto sounds. Clanks when shuriken are thrown, and a crackling sound for the flames. The music fits the mood for each stage, which is easy for a game with a few amount of stages.
Graphics 9/10:The graphics are improved from the previous installments, with cooler looking jutsu and character models. The graphics are cel-shaded like the other Naruto games. The only thing that caught my eye was the ugly shadows. They look 8-bit and are really out of place in a beautiful game such as this one.
Replay Value 10/10:There is a lot of replay value since it is a fighting game. You can play one of the many modes, including Time Attack, and Survival and try to beat your previous scores. You can try playing as all characters and see if you are good with all.On mission mode, you can try the three difficulties, Genin, Chunin, and Jonin.
Buy or Rent?:Buy if you have people to play this game with.If not rent this game because it can get boring if you play alone.
