Review by Mr_Despair

"Good sequel: nice new features, but I wish the main mission was a little longer..."

It was about a year ago when Trauma Center: Second Opinion came out to the Wii. It was pretty fun although recycling the same idea from the DS game. Nevertheless, that was a year ago and now we got New Blood.

Trauma Center: New Blood comes with new features that we wished that they were included in Second Opinion such as the Online leader board, new missions (obviously!), co-op play and finally full voice acting. Isn't that sweet? Sure they are, but what about the game play then?

The game play for New Blood is pretty much the same to the Second Opinion except some minor changes such as the ultrasound can be use to move your focus on the screen to the other areas. For new players who are not familiar with the Trauma Center series at all I suggest that you pick up Second Opinion first because you will be finding this game very difficult since it has quite a "steep" learning curve. But for those who have played Second Opinion you'll be feeling right at home. New Blood offer fun missions for us to tackle but personally, I find the main missions (note: the main mission not the challenges) to be somehow, "easier" than Trauma Center. Even so, this game still delivers the same fun I had with Second Opinion.

The story in this game takes place 10 years after the first game. Now we have two doctors to play with at the start of the game (Markus Vaughn and Valerie Blaylock.) As the game progress you develop your so called "Healing Touch" and get drag into some big mess. Lets just say, the story is quite similar to Second Opinion but with some more details and new characters. You should play the game to find it out yourself.

The graphic quality is similar to Second Opinion. Thank goodness we don't have to see a very "realistic" model of the human organs or some of you might end up sick. As for the music I think they're still pretty good. The voice acting wasn't too bad if you ask me and if you don't want to hear the voice because you find it annoying or if you don't like the music at all you can always switch them off in the option.

As for the game's main story mode, it is rather short. You can finish it within 7-8 hours if you really play it through quickly but much longer if you try to complete everything. However, what improves the replayability in New Blood is the new online leaderboard which sort of tempt you to improve your score to compete online.

Overall, this game is wonderful. So why does this game only have 7/10 ? This is because it's pretty much the same like Second Opinion only with new missions, stories, puzzle, characters, and features.
