Nights, A Game of Disbelief and Disappointment That Will Rue It's Awakening
From Cold Silence
Nights was recently released on the Wii, and I like many others were very eager to play this game. From whence we were children we enjoyed this spectacular and invigorating game. However that is not the case with this game. This game is just one huge disappointment.
Game play: The game play is so boring in this game, due to being a sole character who constantly flies through hoops. Oh wow you go through a level fly through a hope with these awful Wii controls. It doesn't even feel like your moving him, oh wow look at me I'm pointing at the screen, man how innovative. I fly through some hoops to reach the end of the level how great! And the boss fights are such a bore, they go down too quick. And they add in an extra feature, you get to control the boy!!!!! Oh wow I get to walk around. Man how fun is walking. Oh yeah I don't want to be too rude, but you can fight some enemies, in a very repetitive manner. Just mash the attack button and you can kill everything.
Graphics: Terriblejust absolutely horrific graphics. So many different colors everywhere, it hurts your e yes so much. They could have actually tried to make the graphics look better instead of just adding all these random colors everywhere to make up for it. I mean it's just down right bad. The colors don't mix well, and it's just like flying through rainbow land. Only people of the other kind would appreciate this type of nonsense as nice.
Story: Story is pretty interesting. The main character who you control, is neither a girl nor boy, very intriguing, eh? Eh? Eh? Eh? Yeah, that is pretty cool, and there are two separate stories for both of the characters in this game, which are all very fascinating in both of their manners. I like how they branch off into two completely different types of stories, showing no similarities. Shows how the developers didn't try to half-ass both of their stories to not waste time.
Overall: This is a pretty unpolished game. This game needs to be polished more and maybe it will be good; however, it is not. Work on the variations of the bad guys and how you fight. Fix up the Wii controls so you can actually use them like your flying instead of as a pointer. Graphics could be better. This game in my opinion seems rushed. The developers should have spent more time on the game, although the story is pretty good.
I give this game a 6.5/10.
