Crash of the Titans

"Jack into the best game in this series"

The Crash Bandicoot series has come a long way since it's release in 1996. Now, the best Crash Bandicoot game has been born. Here's my review of Crash of the Titans.

Story:10/10
The bandicoots are enjoying a nice day on Wumpa Island. Just then, Cortex comes out of nowhere, kidnaps Coco, and encases Crunch in a block of ice. Now, Crash has to journey to Cortex's Lair, stop his giant robot, the Doominator, from destroying Wumpa Island, and rescue Coco. This is the best story I've ever seen in a Crash Bandicoot game. It's original and tragic at the same time.

Controls:10/10
The controls for this game are very tight. You use the control stick to move Crash, press down on the control pad to jack a Titan. Use the sensor to collect mojo very quickly. Press the B button to attack anything that you want to destroy.

Gameplay:10/10
From the first episode, you will collect a mystical substance called Mojo. By collecting Mojo you unlock new moves, upgrades for you spin and slide moves, and upgrades for your health. You will also come across giant monsters called Titans. These are creatures who mutated by Cortex and Uka Uka. Titans come in three different classes, strong, projectile, and captain. Strong Titans are Titans you can jack without another Titan or a Free Jack Mask. A Free Jack Mask is a burst of concentrated Mojo that lets you stun a Titan with one blow. Projectile Titans are Titans that shoot energy at other Titan or minions. Captain Titans are Titans that you need a Free Jack Mask to jack. Also, as you progress through the game you will see different kind of minions. The gameplay is awesome.

Difficulty:10/10
The difficulty is very high, especially when you battle the last two bosses in the game. If you're looking for a challenging game you can't go wrong with Crash of the Titans.

Replay Value:10/10
After you beat the game you should go back through all of the episodes to get all of the gold idols and unlock all of skins. Also, if you play through the game again on hard mode you unlock the Free Kick ability. It has the same effect as the Free Jack Mask. Also, if you find the hidden voodoo dolls in each episode you unlock concept art from the game.

Overall Score:10/10
This is best Crash Bandicoot game in the series. End of story. Crash of the Titans gets a 10/10.
