WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2008

"They're cheating us out of hard earned money!!!"

When I first saw this game on the shelves I said to myself," I have to have it!" Well I got it and when I started to play I knew I was cheated out of my money.

Gameplay 7/10
This game is very interactive, but all you do is punch, grapple, favorite move, finisher and you win. Also, During a hardcore match there is only one weapon to use, and you guessed it... It's the chair! Also, pinning is a lot less frustrating in this game than it was in SVR 2007 because all you need to do is shake the WII Remote. The same thing for kicking out. Also, bleeding is a lot easier in this game. Also, most matches will take 1-2 minutes.

Okay, this is where I am annoyed... THERE ARE ONLY 5 MATCHES!!!!!! It's single, tag team, triple threat, hardcore, and K.O. I guess THQ doesn't want to give us the good stuff like Hell in a Cell, Money in the Bank, Special Ref. , etc.

Modes 4/10
Okay there are only 3 modes. Create, Tournament, and Main Event. Create mode allows you to create a superstar or diva and you dont even get as many options as the PS2 or XBOX 360. Also when you are creating a move set. There aren't nearly as many options as Svr 2007. Tournament mode only has 2 tournaments, King of the Ring and Beat The Clock. which don't go into any detail at all. Main Event mode is the most fun out of all of them. You choose a superstar and you sort of live the life of that superstar.

Sound 6/10
The announcers are pretty good but Joey Styles and Tazz are the best. J.R. and The King have the same lines as last game and JBL sounds like he is reading off of a script. Also when you are creating an entrance, you cant even preview the music. But overall pretty good.

Graphics 9/10
The graphics in this game are amazing. The superstars actually look like the real life superstars. But we still have the problem of having an arm go through a body.

Superstars 9/10
This game has a good amount of superstars and they have all the favorites like Undertaker, Cena, HHH, and Orton and a surplus of divas. But we're missing superstars like Big Show, Trevor Murdoch, Lance Cade, The Miz, and Chris Jericho.

This game is Okay but you can only enjoy it if you're a die hard Wrestling fan which I am. Hopefully SVR 2009 and TNA Impact will be better!

You should buy this version for any system except for this one. For every other one there are more modes and options and superstars!
