"GTA has gone Montana!"

This game is pretty much alike to Grand Theft Auto. I mean, you steal cars, kills the bad guys (you're one as well =O), you get money, you spend it on guns just so you can kill more people. Yup, pretty much the same concept. Nevertheless, there are some differences why I like this game more than I like GTA. And this one is for the Wii, so if you like the GTA games and own a wii, you should buy this game.

Storyline: 10

Ever saw the Scarface movie? If not, it doesn't matter! All you need to know is this: (Spoilers Warning) Tony Montana migrated to the U.S. and he becomes a gangster. At the end of the movie he's the biggest gangster around, but he is killed. Now, I just spoiled the movie, didn't I? =P Well, the game has a twist. You could call it Scarface 2 probably. The game starts with an introduction to the character: Tony Montana. You control him in an army uniform, and you have to kill the targets the game tells you to. Here you learn about Tony's past (like in the movie) and then jump to the last scene in the movie. In this scene from the movie, Tony's mansion becomes a blood fest and he gets killed. However, in the game, he is not killed! =O He is saved by the army of henchmen he has. He gets to scape him mansion as you practice the basics of the game, which you learn in the introduction to the character. After you escape the mansion, you look at it being destroyed and confiscated by the cops. Tony loses everything he has: His reputation, his cash, his drugs, his exotic belongings, and his... "balls". The game refers to them as kind of the adrenaline he has. The more dangerous stuff you do, the more balls you get. How are they useful? You will learn later on this review.

Gameplay: 9

Gameplay is just like GTA. You go around stealing cars. You kill people. You do missions. Pretty simple. No differenve between both games. You still get the little map at the bottom left corner of the screen, and you get a health-meter. There are also indicators that tell you how much money and drugs you have in your pocket, and how much money you have in the bank. You also get something called "heat". There are two types of heat: cop and gang heat. The higher the cop heat is, the faster they reach the place where you are commiting crimes, and the more cops will look for you. With gang heat, the higher it is means that more gangsters will try to kill you. If it's high enough, they will track you and kill you, even though gangs usually remain in one fixed place.

The more people you kill, the more dangerous stunts you do while driving, the more taunts you do to people among other stuff, the more balls you get. When you fill your balls-metter, you can get into Rage Mode! In rage mode, you are invulnerable, and you get 1-shot-kills. Your ammo gets infinite as well, and you don't have to reload. Therefore, the best weapon to carry while on rage mode is any machine-gun.

There is a peculiar way to negotiate in this game. When you negotiate or fast-talk with someone, a circular negotiation or fast-talking-meter appears. You hold A and release it when it is close to the end of the meter. If done correctly, you get the best outcome of the negotitation or fast talking. For example, if you are trying to buy drugs, if you get close to the end of the meter you will get more drugs for the same price than you would get if you were far from the end of the meter.

There are some things I don't like about this game. First, there are no motorcycles! D= Seriously, there should have been. However, there are various cars, each one with different speed, armor, handling, etc. And also you can own cars, and you can tell your driver to deliver it to wherever you are. This is pretty useful, because you won't have to steal cars if you already own any, and you won't get cop heat for stealing cars.

Sometimes the health you get is just not enough. You can increase your health by making girls move into your mansion, but you need lots of them and sometimes they are hard to find. I think there should be a way to get bulletproof vests.

Controls: 9

You NEED a nunchuck to play this game.

You can use the Wii-remote to point at your targets. On the GTA games you usually have to hold a button to lock on a target, or else your shooting will be kind of unaccurate. Here, however, you can either lock on a target or target manually. Manually is better, if you ask me. I mean, it adds fun to the game. =D

However, sometimes you shake the nunchuck to enter into Rage Mode, but the Wii doesn't get the input, and you end up dead instead of in Rage Mode. Still, the game is pretty awesome.

Graphics: 9

Yeah graphics are pretty cool... for a Wii. Out of the 3 last-gen consoles, the Wii has the poorest graphics. Yet, this game is not so bad. The lipsync is alright and most characters are pretty detailed. The hands of all characters however... they just don't look good. o.O Still, they are decent and realistic.

Sound: 8

Almost nothing to say about sound. There are lots of radio stations which you can listen to. I like how they let you create your own playlist and listen to your favorite tracks. Why an 8? Because they included reggaeton songs in the game, and I HATE reggaeton. Still, I like the 80s songs. I always choose a playlist with only songs from the 80s. 8)

Value: 9

Ever since I watched the trailer, I wanted my game so badly. Mainly because my brother is a huge fan of the Scarface movie and I wanted to surprise him by getting the game. He was surprised when he and I tested it. As for me, I am not a huge fan of the Scarface movie, even though I own it. However, I must say I really like this game. Currently I only play 2 games: Scarface and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I must say I got at least 20 games, and I have beat none of them lol Anyways, that is to show you how I value this game a lot, because it's really entertaining.

Summary:
+Creative storyline
+Uses the Wii-mote to point at enemies
+Very entertaining
+Some humour
-Graphics
-Reggaeton music =(
-Lack of motorcycles
-Rated R

Overall: 9

If you liked the GTA games, you MUST get this game. The Wii controls make the game more interactive, and the storyline is very catchy. You don't even have to watch the movie to know what the game is about! =D So my recommendation is: buy it! Or if you want to rent it, then go ahead. But I would buy this game if I were you.
