Mario Super Sluggers

"A great sequel with amazing gameplay"
Mario Super Sluggers
Introduction: This game is the sequel to the Gamecube game Mario Superstar Baseball. It combines all the real rules of baseball with the ways of Mario. Imagine baseball with special pitches, special hits, and items to cause. That it exactly what you get with this game.
Gameplay- 10/10
The gameplay of this game exceeded all of my expectations. It contains great multiplayer play, and many minigames to keep you entertained for hours. With the addition of a Story mode and many characters selections, you won't want to put it down for days. There is also a good feature of chemistry. Certain characters get along with others very well, and when these characters are together in the line-up or in the field, they can accomplish great things. The special pitches and special hits for captains add even more excitement down the final stretch of the game.
The controls get you right into the game. You can choose between only a Wii remote, or using the nunchuck with the Wii remote. With the nunchuck, you can pitch, bat, and through with lifelike movements. It also has simple enough controls for someone to pick up quickly, but has enough controls to keep a real gamer going.
Story- 8/10
The story is fairly mediocre, but what did you expect for a sports game? The basics of the story is that there was a baseball island built with stadiums for each captain, and Bowser Jr. and his minions try to take over the island. The great thing about the story, is that the story mode is very addicting, and you won't want to stop until it is done. Although, one downside to the story mode is that it can be completed in a fairly short amount of time.
Graphics and Sound- 8/10
Not the greatest graphics you will ever see, but it is plenty for the great gameplay you are getting. The sound is good, as there is always very appropriate music that never gets annoying or in the way. There are also very good sound effects for many aspects of the game.
Multiplayer- 10/10
Unlike its predecessor, this game allows four players to play in an exhibition match. Also, you can play all four players on one team, or two on each, or any other combination you wish. The Toyfield mode was brought back and is just as fun as before. The game also now allows you to play on teams in the Toyfield mode, adding even more fun to this mode. The game also contains many of fun minigames, which can entertain you and your friends for hours.
Playtime and Replayability- 9/10
The first time through the game will seem quick, but the many different minigames, as well as large stadium and character selections can keep you busy for a long time. With a friend, the game has even more replayability, because it is contains a large amount of excitement and never has a dull moment. You can often find yourself saying, "Just one more quick game," and end up playing for a few more hours.
Final Recommendation- Buy it
This game is definitely worth buying. With such great gameplay, amazing multiplayer action, and good replayability, you have nothing to lose, except $50, that you won't regret spending.
Final Score- 9/10
