"Mega Man's back for more"
For those who thought the Blue Bomber was finally destroyed when he became Mega Man X, your wrong! Mega Man is back, and this time he is out to get you in the Wii Shop! For a mere $10 US you can buy Mega Man 9, and explore on a new adventure with him. There is eight new bosses, and eight new death trapped stages for you to explore. You will encounter the likes of some old style robots mixed in with these eight new robot masters. The story is set to take place after Mega Man 9 with Wily going back to jail, but another outbreak of robot attacks leaves everyone worried. Including Mega Man's creator: Dr. Light. It is relieved by Dr. Wily that Dr. Light is behind these new attacks, as they are his robots. With Dr. Light in jail and Dr. Wily free something must give in order to explain what is going on.
You will encounter some old enemies, as well as new ones as you prepare to take on this new threat. Exciting puzzles, traps, dungeon-like paths, and some more of the usual from Mega Mans 1-6. The question still remains with the download content which will cost a few Wii points: is it going to be worth it in the end? Mega Man 9, unlike 7&8, returns to the classical styles of the 8-bit world we know and love from the NES. 8-Bit sounds and music come back to life, and add a nice mix into this game to give Mega back the original flavor hes had been losing for quite a while.
Over all in the end, one thing that is questionable in theory, is the intensified difficulty to start with. For those who have played Mega Man 2, you would call this the Difficult of Difficulties. Even with all the new updates and old mix ins, Mega Man 9 is still a great game to play for those who have been begging to see the Blue Bomber hit it one more time Old School style. For those who haven't heard of Mega Man or played the original series, go pick up a copy of the Anniversary Collection for either the X Box, Ps2, or Game Cube and play it. If you love Mega Man 1-6: you will fall in love (and hate how hard it is at the same time) all over again with Mega Man
