Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
Review by Blueramza
"Unleashed much more then the Force! Let loose the Gameplay!"
Story. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed focuses on the dark side of the Force. It tells the story of Starkiller who is Darth Vader's secret apprentice. (Starkiller AKA Galen Marek)
Once fully grown Starkiller is promised by Vader, his master, that together they will be feared and well know through out the entire galaxy.
However, fate intervenes soon after Starkiller meets an ex-Jedi General named Rahm Kota, setting Starkiller up to struggle between the dark and light side. Along with his side kick droid Proxy and his pilot Juno Eclipse.
Can Starkiller fight his nature? Or is he truly lost to the dark side?
Story? 9/10
Graphics. I would like to say the graphics are as excellent as the PS3 and Xbox360, but sadly that is not the case. Still, raising the Brightness in the game works wonders and it is still an impressive experience.
The 3D computer graphics bend the laws of physics amazingly. Altitude of explosions and shattered components through out the game won't make you bored in the least. The physical environment, is meant for destruction, while the background is surprisingly beautiful.
Graphics? 8/10
Sound. Lots of classic Star Wars music which blend into each area well. However, it works a bit too well. I would have like some more exciting remixes, but I suppose it might have offended some Star War's fans.
Sound? 7/10
Gameplay. This is where this gem really shines. The force is definitely right here in this game. Imagine lifting your hand and turning it upside down to Force Coke an enemy to death? or how about moving your Wii Remote from right to left to throw enemies and landscape all over the place? Sound interesting? You don't know the half of it!
This is the most innovative use of the Wii remote so far. You can create all kind of cool combo to crush your enemies Right, Left, Up, Down, and Thrust can all be combine together in different ways to make your light saber swirl and your enemies cringe.
The Nunchuk also plays an important part in the game. A thrust of the Nunchuk will scatter your enemies in the wind and Force Choking enemies is beyond fun.
When you combine the two together you get an awesome combo of action and gameplay, which is never ending. This, right here, is what make the Wii version so great.
Gamplay? 10/10 easily.
Replay. Multitude of cheat code to play as all the greats, from Darth Vader to Obi-Wan Kenobi. You can be almost anyone in the Star Wars universe. Plus, there are a variety of Light Saber colors, and costumes to choose from as well.
Replay? 10/10
Duel Mode. Friend become your enemies and you fight each other in an arena. Vader Vs Luke. Fun for all and the character designs are great. This should never be over look as Street Fighter was never this fun.
Duel Mode? 10/10
Final Recommendation. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is one that you'll be sure to remember. Whether or not you're a Star Wars fan or not shouldn't matter when it comes to this game. It's fun and exciting with some of the best gameplay ever. You should definitely rent this game if not buy it outright. It's worth every penny.
