"The game that changed Mario and Sonic history"

Alright, this game's the first game to feature a crossover with Mario Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog. This game actually improved the way we look at both the Italian plumber and the blue hedgehog. Everything that was featured in their previous games were fixed for this crossover. This game is so amazing, that it's the first review I made to receive a 10/10. Now, this review will reveal this game's greatness.

Story, 7/10: Okay, the story just shows Mario characters like Mario, Luigi and Peach competing with Sonic characters like Sonic, Tails and Knuckles in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. What's weird about the storyline is that at first it seems like the Mario characters were so focused on beating the Sonic characters (ex: Shadow and Luigi trying to outrun each other in 110m hurdles and Yoshi and Tails furiously trying to beat each other at table tennis). The later on, several teams end up having both Mario and Sonic characters in them (even when you don't customize them). Well, anyways, the storyline isn't half bad. Too bad they never have any more cutscenes or even a story mode.

Graphics, 8/10: The graphics are absolutely amazing in the opening cut scene. But later they go one to be regular graphics for a wii game. The graphics are exceptional, and that's all I could say about them.

Music/Sound, 9/10: Alright, the Music is classic Olympics music. Sadly, they didn't include any Mario and Sonic music for some reason. Now, you're expecting me to say the voices are bad, right? Well, they're not in this game. Mario and Luigi's voice is heard more than it usually is. And they even fixed their voices a little more. The Sonic character voices are what majorly improved. Sonic is about the same. Tails, who would usually sound like a girl, actually sounds more like a boy in this game. It's hard to tell, but it's enough to tell new Sonic players that Tails is not a girl. Even Knuckles' voice was majorly improved, mainly because it's high pitched. As for the rest of the voices, they're exceptional enough to be good. The sound in this game isn't half bad, but sometimes it could glitch. Like in fencing, when you smack someone, it actually sounds like they're getting stabbed, rather than just hit. But overall, the sound isn't that bad.

Gameplay, 10/10: The gameplay often gets tiring, but it's fun. This game includes classic Olympic events, and they even threw in beefed up versions of them. But it's missing something that most party games have, a story mode of some type. The Mario parties included some type of story mode, but they don't have one here other than circuit mode. That would've gave the game an 11/10, because that's what's normally interesting about the game. Overall, the gameplay rocks the house.

Controls, 7/10: They would've gotten a 9/10, but they got a 7/10 because they tire your arms way too often. You'll be shaking the Wii remote and Nunchuck a lot in this game, and it'll tire your arms within an hour. But still, the controls are very responsive, and they aren't half bad.

Replay value, VERY HIGH: This game is very fun, and as long as you don't literally play it 24/7. you'll be hooked on it for up to year.

Buy or Rent?: Well, you're definitely gonna love it. So buy it. If you don't believe this review, rent it first, then buy it.

Overall, 10/10: This game is a very fun party game. So you should go get it, and then enjoy the first crossover with Mario and Sonic.
