                              CREDITS
1) I compiled this material and discovered many of the glitches and
tricks in this guide back from when it came out in June 2002, through
September 2002 when I wrote this guide. Much of the information has
since been posted on the message boards, but I am posting this
walkthrough now in expectation of the new Game of the Year Edition.

I want to thank Zenkmander for giving me the idea and the basis for it
along with giving me many of the Sanguine item locations and anyone who
has helped me with ideas.

I would also like to thank SiMpLy PiMpIn176 for pointing out a change
in Early Spending Money.

If anyone has proof of being the first person to come up with an idea
in this guide, please send me an email and I will add your name to
this.

                           INTRODUCTION
2) This is mostly just for fun, because it takes away any and all
challenges within the game, and it does it all without using cheats. I
say this because in this game there are two ways to "cheat" (the verb
not the noun). One is by using the press button codes that are
available on GameFAQs; the second is by exploiting the various glitches
in the game. I feel that the latter is a completely legitimate thing to
do, since the glitches in the game can cause you to lose all of your
hard work, one must use them to your advantage to counteract this. I
will classify at the beginning of each segment what you do in it and
whether it uses the glitches or not, so you can just go to the point
that interests you at this point in time, or start a new game and
follow the guide from the beginning, it will usually work no matter
what.

                             THE BEGINNING
(No glitches or tricks, just getting started and preparation)

3) First after creating your character you pick up your papers and on
the bookshelf in the same room there is a limeware platter. Go over to
it, take it, and as soon as you pick it up open your inventory and drop
it. The guard will yell at you, but then you are free to pick it up
from the ground. In the next room take everything you can, especially
all of the silver stuff and the gold in the lock 1 chest. Then get the
ring ad everything else from the barrel. Then go to the next room give
your papers and go outside

Once outside, give Fargoth his ring. Then go across to Arilles trade
house. Sell all your stuff to him and purchase the spells sanctuary and
Jack-of-all-trades. Then go upstairs and get the quest from the guy who
wants the gold from Fargoth's hiding place. Go to the lighthouse, when
at the top take the book from under the bench and then go up to the
very top outside. Wait until 11 o'clock and watch Fargoth go to the
tree stump in the pond. Go down there and take all the stuff from the
stump. Talk to Vodiccus Nucius about little advice and then talk to
the silt strider about Vodiccus Nucius, go back to him and then buy the
ring off of him. Then travel across the bridge and follow the road to
the left until a guy falls out of the sky. Dispose of his corpse and
then take the diary from the ground. On your return trip to town take
the luminous mushroom, the rusellous mushroom from the mushrooms on the
ground, and Bunglers Bane and Hyphia Facia from the trees (don't know
the spelling). Return to the silt strider once you have one of each.
Take the Silt strider to Balmora

                               GODLY STATS
(The heart of the invincibility, the two main glitches revealed)

4) In Balmora first go to the mages guild. Talk to the woman in front
of you to join the mages guild. Then go into the supply chest and take
the scrolls and the potions. Go down stairs and purchase the spell
soultrap from the woman who has the option to travel. Soultrap may be
from someone else there, but it is available in the building. Talk to
the woman wandering about who has the spell making option. You should
have around 1000 gold now, if not go outside and search all of the
crates in Balmora and then sell the stuff from inside them. Using the
soultrap spell you just purchased and the Jack-of-all-trades spell from
Arilles Trade house in Seyda Neen, create a spell that is:

Fortify Willpower 25 points on self (duration 0)
Soultrap on target duration and range 0/1 (as low as it goes)

You may need to switch the fortify willpower to 10 if you cant cast
well. Then drink all of the fortify will power potions and cast the
spell straight down at your feet (bend over as far as you can go, you
cant actually see your feet), check to make sure that it is permanently
fortifying it by waiting a minute and then seeing if your stats are
still increased. If they aren't you may have created the spell wrong.
NOTE: some people have found that this format does not work with their
game, and use a format of:

Fortify Willpower 25 points on self for 1 second
Soultrap on target for 2 seconds

You can also try adjusting the two time values. (This was unclear to
some people, so I just want to note that these effects are all in one
spells, you aren't using a separate spell for willpower and for
soultrap)

When your magicka is used up, sleep in one of the bunk beds for seven
ours and your magic should be healed. If you are and Atronach you will
have to use the potions and those take a while to respawn, and they can
be found in most of the mages guilds, but just sleep a while until they
regenerate in the equipment chest. Anyway, continue until you have a
willpower of around 500 and you can now make the same spell but with a
magnitude of 100 and do the same for a Personality spell. Once those
stats are around 1000-2000 go to Aijra and purchase an alchemy
ingredient for 0 gold (yes for nothing, your personality is good
enough) and sell it back for 800. Rest for 24 hours and repeat till
you have around 5000 gold. Make a spell that is the same as the
others, but have it fortify Intelligence, then soultrap, and then add
Fortify stat spells for all the Attributes except Speed and Strength,
all of them magnitude 100. Cast that till they are all around 39900,
but make sure your intelligence does not get any higher than that you
will find out later why. By getting it to that as you level up your
intelligence will max out at 40,000, which is why you don't want to get
it there now. Now make a separate spell to fortify your speed by 10-50,
and increase slowly till you have reached a speed you like, but
remember that if it gets too high you can have very bad side effects I
like to have it increased by 150, so I max out at 250. Buy a spell of
Fortify strength and Soultrap for 100 points and increase to around
2000, if it is too high you will destroy a weapon in one hit. Next make
a spell that is bound Longsword instead of Fortify, and now you have a
nice little sword that weighs nothing. Then select the Longsword and
hold X and then hold L and R at the same time, the Longsword should
still be displayed, but you will here a very fast switching sound which
increases your Longblade skill 10 points each second, so leave it for
like 2 minutes and you will have around 10000 for your longblade.
Finally create a spell to fortify your fatigue, health and Magicka by
100, although fatigue and magicka are increased by the various stat
raises the health only increases during level ups and it is always nice
to have 5000+ health.

                          EARLY SPENDING MONEY
(No glitches here, but it requires the murder of a character)
5)Leave the mages guild and go into Ra'Virrs trader nearby. Talk to him
and purchase the Fiend Tanto and any other items of value for nothing.
You can keep on doing that, or pull out your bound longsword and attack
him, he will die in one hit, and take everything from his body. Return
to the mages guild and take the transport to Caldera.
In the Caldera mages guild head down stairs and open the Reinforced
wooden door by the guy. Go up the stairs and take all of the master
alchemy equipment. Then go back downstairs and out the door to
Caldera. Go straight down the hill, and when you reach the sign for
the armory take a right into the Ghorak manor. Inside take a left up
the stairs and talk to the squeaking guy in the corner, his name is
creeper and he is a scamp with a ton of gold. For now he will be our
main merchant. Sell him the fiend tanto and then wait 24 hours, talk
to him again and sell the fiend katana and buy back the fiend tanto and
the ancient dagoth brandy. Then wait another 24 hours and sell him the
brandy and the tanto. You should now have at least 12000 gold. Return
to the mages guild and take the transport to Balmora.

GETTING A HOUSE AND UNLOCKING AMULET
                         (Uses Previous Glitches)
6) Next exit the mages guild and head right, then left up the stairs
and then right again, and go to the fine clothiers. Inside buy any
exquisite clothing she has, particularly the amulet and ring. Then go
back to the mages guild and in the same room with the transport and
talk to the cat woman Aijra behind the desk. Select duties and then
mushrooms, and then mushrooms again and give the mushrooms you picked
in Seyda Neen to her, if you lost them go back and pick them again.
Then select duties again and choose fake soul gem. Quickly go up the
stairs all the way to the desk and grab everything you can, especially
the soulgems on and inside the desk. Drop the fake soulgem INSIDE the
desk, and then go to your menu and select the Grand Soul gem and then
choose make and enchanted object. If you have an exquisite belt use
that, but if not use the amulet, but not the ring, those are really
rare. Create a belt with open 100-100 on touch area 1, or on target
area 1 if you use an amulet, but it doesn't matter too much. Since you
have a huge intelligence it will be a breeze to do and then use your
new amulet/belt to open the chest nearby and take all the stuff.
Go out of the mages guild, take a right and then left up the stairs and
then turn and go up the stairs of the guard tower and jump on to the
terrace of the hose next to it. Open the door with the amulet, go into
the closed wooden door and talk to the girl about Ralen Hlaalo and then
murder's description, and then you can kill her. You now have a nice
house in Balmora and Ralen Hlaalo's body down stairs is a bottomless
container and the crates in the corner can store a lot of stuff as
well.

                        ENCHANTING/UNLIMITED GOLD
(Uses Previous Glitches and exploits merchants)
6) Travel back to the Mages guild and take the transport to Sadrith
Mora, Wolverine hall. Leave through the door there and go down the
spiral staircase to and into the imperial shrine. Talk to the guy by
the alter and buy around 500 bloats and ashyams, using your high
personality to drop the price down to next to nothing. If you don't
have your intelligence at 40,000 (i.e. you haven't been following the
guide and are just doing this section) follow these steps, but if you
do then just make a bunch of potions using the Ashyams and Bloats.
Make sure you have Alchemy equipment, which you can get from the top of
the tower behind the door in the Caldera mages guild. Make potions and
drink them, and they will fortify your intelligence even higher, but
get it as close to 40,000 without getting higher, if it does get any
higher then you will need to wait until it goes down. Once it is
around 40,000 make a ton of potions, each should be worth almost 5000,
but not any higher. Once you have used up all of the bloats and ash
yams, take your potions through the mages guild to Caldera and take
them to creeper. Sell them to him, resting 24 hours so he can
regenerate his money, and once you have around 200,000 gold put the
rest of the potions into his crates (he wont mind as long as you don't
take anything from him that isn't yours) and then you are free to do
whatever you want. If you ever run out of potions, just repeat this
step and continue.
Next you will have a relatively long journey ahead of you, so travel
to one of the mages guilds and pick up a Levitate spell and then make
one with levitate 60 seconds 25 points. Also get the spells Mark,
Recall, Restore health, Restore Fatigue, Divine Intervention, and
Almsivi Intervention, it is quite a task but those spells will come in
useful. You should travel to Sadrith Mora and take the ship there to
Tel Branora. While in Tel Branora, enter the tower through the door to
the upper tower and then enter the door to Therana's Chamber. Inside
levitate up the shaft and then look for a man who sells spells.
Purchase all the spells that he offers, but particularly the Summon
Golden Saint Spell. Exit the tower and then from that point levitate
northeast for a long time (recasting the spell when you see it's symbol
begin to fade) until you see a huge statue of a woman facing out to sea
(on the paper map that came with the game you can see a symbol for the
Shrine of Azura in the south east corner of the map, this is where you
are going). Underneath the statue is a door leading to the shrine to
Azura. Approach the statue that is inside of the shrine and she will
tell you a about a bet that she made with another God about one of her
priests and that there are monsters there that may make her lose the
bet and for you to kill them. You're your mark spell and then cast
divine intervention and you should be taken to Sadrith Mora. If not
travel from the town that it takes you to back to Sadrith Mora. From
there take the boat to Tel Mora and then to Dagon Fel. From Dagon Fel
take the road west, over a rise, to a beach. Cross the channel to the
north, take the first left and continue west past the bandit cave
Habinaes. The path will eventually turn south, but don't follow it that
way. Instead, follow it up the slope to the west to the base of one of
those great mushroom trees. Turn north and you will see a beach and,
across a narrow channel, an island (it is just above the westernmost
rectangle of intersecting roads on Dagon Fel island on the paper map).
On that island you will find a hut and numerous Daedric creatures.
There are Fire and Storm Atronachs and an Ogrim to the Northwest, two
hungers on a rise to the northeast, and, farther north, a Daedroth and
a Golden Saint. Once they have been killed, cast your recall spell and
then approach Azuras statue once again, and you will receive the
Soulgem Azura's Star. It is a reusable Grand Soul gem and along with
the golden saint spell and your vast intelligence you can create almost
any enchantment imaginable.

                              GODLY SKILLS
7) This section will allow you to increase any skill to as high as you
wish. In the PAL or European version of the original game the spell
does not include fortify skill, and in the Game of the Year Edition one
can purchase the fortify skill spell, thus making this section pretty
much obsolete. It involves quite a bit of work, but there is a great
sense of satisfaction performing these hits, and it is a great way to
leave your godly mark on the world. Travel to Vivec and go to the
Arena. In the Canal works enter the Arena Storage. Kill the rats and
go through the wooden door on the right of the room. Go down the
trapdoor and find Eno Hlaalo and join the Morag Tong. He will tell you
to go kill a guy in the Elven Nation Corner club in the Hlaalu Plaza,
go there and kill him, just ignore anyone else and cut him down in one
blow, fun huh? Return to the headquarters and he will have made you a
member. Go and collect the 26 Sanguine items (Eno already has one) and
return them to him, he doesn't direct you to them yet, but I will.

1. Sanguine Enterprise: Eno Hlaalu has it.
2. Glove of Sanguine Horny fist: Guril Retheran in the Flowers of Gold
cornerclub in Vivec Redoran section
3. Sanguine Glib Speech: Shotherra at Thongar's in Khuul. You'll have
to taunt her to make her attack or it's a crime. She doesn't say
anything about it. Just kill her.
4. Sanguine Golden Wisdom: Talis Veran at Ebernanit. Go to Valenvaryon
and head straight southeast. Valenvaryon is on the map that came with
the game near the Urshilaku camp.
5. Sanguine Green Wisdom: Gnaw Tooth at Ald Daedroth northwest of the
Ahemmusa camp.
6. Sanguine Smiting: Domba is with Gnaw Tooth
7. Sanguine Impaling Thust: Gluronk gra-Shula on the second floor of
Sadrith Mora's Gateway Inn. Peaceful guy. Taunt him so you don't get in
trouble.
8. Sanguine Leaping: Dro'Zaymer in Canal South-Three in Vivec's St
Delyn canton
9. Sanguine Safekeeping: Inganar at Ularradallaku. Hard to find. Enter
Ghostgate and work your way northwest to the Dwemer ruin Endusal. The
Ghostfence will be on your left. Head north across a swinging bridge
and the shrine is on your left a little ways down the road If you look
on the map that came with the game, find Dagoth Ur and look just left
of it. There is a drawing of the bridge you will need to find. It took
me about an hour or hour and a half of
wandering around inside Ghostfence to find it.
10. Sanguine Silver Wisdom: Earmil in Assurnabitashpi west of the
Urshilaku camp
11. Sanguine Unseen Wisdom: Erundil in Indoranyon. It's on the paper
map north of Tel Aruhn.
12. Sanguine Stalking: Thovasi Alen in the shrine of Assarnatamat. In
the Ashlands northeast of Balmora.

The other 15 threads are obtained by doing the special duties quests.

13. Sanguine Fleetness: Hrodris at the Halfway Inn in Pelagiad. You can
persuade her to give it to you or kill her. Your choice. It's a murder
if you don't taunt her.
14. Sanguine Denial: Movis Darys. In a Mage's Guild, but don't remember
which one. Eno tells you though.
15. Sanguine Martial Craft: Carecalmo at Ashalmimilkala. It's on an
island West of Balmora.
16. Sanguine Sublime Wisdom: Anel Rethelas at Yasammidian. It's West of
Ald Velothi. If you look on your paper map it's near the top all the
way to the west of the map. The shrine is near the dwemer ruins it
shows on the map.
17. Sanguine Stolid Armor: Mindeli Saren at Yasammidian
18. Sanguine Sureflight: Durus Marius at the Dark Brotherhood base
underneath the St. Olms canton in Vivec. Can't miss the guarded door.
19. Sanguine Hewing: Durus Marius
20. Sanguine Balanced Armor: Relas Arothan next to Durus Marius
21. Sanguine Deep Biting: Relas Arothan
22. Sanguine Nimble Armor: Severa Magia at Ald Sotha. Look on your map.
It's right next to Vivec tot he northeast
23. Sanguine Swift Blade: Severa Magia
24. Sanguine Fluid Evasion: Severa Magia
25. Sanguine Red Wisdom: Llandrale Varam at Ald Sotha
26. Sanguine Transcendence: Llandrale Varam at Ald Sotha
27. Sanguine Transfiguring: Llandrale Varam at Ald Sotha

You can probably find a more specific guide to them somewhere else on
the site

Now that you have collected them all return to him for a very
special gift. The spell Mephalas Skill. This spell will never fail, is
cheep and is great for an assassin, but it is even better than it
seems. Now with this spell you have two spell effects that cannot be
found anywhere else. The fortify Skill spell and the Fortify Attack
spell. With these you can create your own soultrap spells for 100
points for each of these effects. Having the same setup as for
fortifying all your stats spell, you have one skill fortify, soultrap,
and then the other skill fortifies. So create these spells for all
skills, but you can only do eight effects at one time, but don't have
fortify Acrobatics, athletics, or Alchemy past 100 because you will
make it so you cant use them very well anymore because you will get
stuck to high or go too fast and if the alchemy is too high you will be
unable to use the money trick. The rest of the skills are fine to
fortify into the 1000s as high as you would like (especially your
enchant for if you get it high enough the amount of charge needed to
use an enchanted item goes down very far, allowing many enchantment
castings). Also fortify your attack high, although with your high
weapons skills and strength it won't make too big of a difference. Now
you can do anything you want, search libraries, take things from in
front of guards noses while in sneak, kill anything, cast any spell,
buy anything for nothing, sell anything for everything, and while
wearing nothing you can have an Armor rating in the thousands.

                        ENCHANTABLE LOCKETS
(No Glitches, although the previous boosts might help)
8) If you head to Ald Ruhn, Under Skar, you can go and raid all of the
guards quarters and everywhere else there while using your perfect
sneaking ability. By going through like this, you can get about 30
Hlervu Lockets, and several other pieces of exquisite clothing. The
Hlervu Lockets are excellent things to have because of their 120
Enchantment points, so I recommend that you use those for things such
as water walking and breathing, levitation, constant healing and
fatigue reviving, and other great enchantments.

Congratulations! You now have an almost unlimited supply of gold, a
nice house with tons of storage, and are invincible. Go do what you
want, go grab some rare armors and items,

NOTES
I would like to mention that the majority of spells can't be
permanently created with the soultrap glitch, and so one must enchant a
weapon with the spell and switch it back and forth. To get good
weapons, create a soultrap spell of Summon Dremora and Golden Saint,
then kill them and take their stuff, tons of Daedric and ebony staffs
an other weapons
