Thank you. 2) Connecting to Xbox Live : a) Choosing a ISP : G2 Before you can choose a connecion method, you must have a ISP (Internet Service Provider) that supplys a Broadband Internet connection. The four providers are are Wanadoo Broadband, Blueyonder Broadband (That's mine),Bt Broadband and NTL : Home Broadband. AOL are currently beta testing Xbox Live for AOL broadband and AOL broadband members can sign up via AOL Keyword : beta. AOL are expecting to start supporting the service for all their broadband members shortly. There are four connection types you can use : A Direct Connection, A Router Connection, A Internet Sharing Connection and a Home Network Connection. Depending on your ISP, you may have to choose certain connection types. Here is why you should each connection types : Choose a Direct Connection if : You want the easiest way to set up and play on Xbox Live. You don't want to share your connection with your PC (or other device). Choose a Router Connection if : You want to share your broadband Internet connection with your PC (or other device). Your cable or DSL modem supports an Ethernet connection You want to be able to play on Xbox Live whether your PC is on or off Choose a Internet Sharing Connection if : You want to share your Broadband Internet connection with your PC (or other device). Your cable or DSL modem uses a USB (not Ethernet) connection, or it is an internal PCI modem. You don't mind turning on your PC before playing games on Xbox Live. Choose a Home Network Connection if : You don't have to unplug your computer from your cable or DSL modem and reconnect your Xbox console every time you want to play. You can play Xbox Live while someone else in your household is sending an e-mail or surfing, though this may cause some decrease in speed. You can hide unsightly cables and equipment. If you have a USB modem (as opposed to Ethernet), it's the only way you're going to be able to play on Live. Insert a disc of a game that has Live combatibilty, and choose the option for Xbox Live. Now, the Xbox will try to connect to Live. IF it is sucessfull, continue to create your gamertag. You must have a Credit Card to do this. If it wasn't sucessfull, follow the link to find out more troubleshooter help. 3) KOTOR Downloadale Content : How to Unlock : G5 Make sure that your Broadband connection is connected to your Xbox. Then insert the Knights of the Old Republic Disc into your Xbox. On the main menu, select the options menu and select the option for Downloadable Content. If it needs to update Xbox Live, let it do so. When it has finished updating, go back into the Downloadable Content menu. Sign into Xbox Live, and press A to start downloading the content. This will take 5-10 minutes, and then the game will restart. Everytime you start you now start up the game the Xbox will validate the content you downloaded from Xbox Live. Yavin IV will now be available on the planet map on board the Ebon Hawk in the top Left corner of the map. Items Available : G6 This the list of items available from the shop : a) Environmental Bastion Armour - Type : Armour Credits : 22000 Amount : 1 Feats required : Armour Proficiency - Medium Defense Bonus = 7 Maximum Dexterity = +3 Damage Immunity = 100% V Cold Damage Immunity = 100% V Fire Damage Immunity = 100% V Sonic Special : Upgradeable Armour Background :A modified Environmental suit, this armour gives the wearer complete protection from the elements as well as supierior combat protection. With additional enchancements, it can be converted into a completely contained environmental system and shield the wearer from outside radiation as well. b) Light Exoskeletion Type : Armour Credits : 10000 Amount : 1 Feats Required : Armour Proficiency - Light Defense Bonus : 6 Max Dexterity Bonus : +5 Dexterity : +1 Strength : +1 Special : Upgradable Armour Background : A relatively new type of power-assisted armour, this suit mimics the major muscle movements of the wearer with mechanical impulses, resulting in greater strength and faster reaction times. c) Baragwin Shadow Armour : Type : Armour Credits : 6000 Amount : 1 Feats Required : Armour Proficiency - Light Defense Bonus : 7 Max Dexerity Bonus : +4 Skills : Stealth +4 Special : Upgradable Armour Background : A speciality of the Baragwin, this modifiable suit has advanced adaptive camouflage technology that, when combined with a stealth generator, allows it to blend in nearly seamlessly with the background when viewed from any direction. d) Heavy Exoskeleton : Type : Armour Credits : 20000 Amount : 1 Feats Required : Armour Proficiency - Medium Defense Bonus : 9 Max Dexerity Bonus : +2 Constitution : +1 Strength : +2 Special : Upgradable Armour Background : A heavy and durable suit, this mechanical exoskeleton provides much greater strength and endurance, and vastily improved armour protection to the wearer than lighter models. With additional enchancements, this capability can be expanded even further, rivaling some light armoured vechicles for protection. e) Baragwin Assault Blade : Type : Melee Weapon Credits : 9000 Amount : 1 Feats Required : Weapon Proficiency - Melee Weapons Damage : Physical 2-12 Damage Bonus : Energy +2-12 Critical Threat : 19-20 x2 Attack Modifier : +2 Special : Upgradabe Weapon Background : This advanced Vibrosword is a miracle of miniaturization technology. Not only does it deliver increased functionality over a normal Vibrosword, it also has capasitors which discharge upon contact with a target. Extra Space within the blade can be utilized by a variety of common upgrade modules. f) Mantle of the Force (Only appears after Fourth Star Map) Type : Lightsaber Crystal Credits : 25000 Amount : 1 Special : Upgradable Lightsaber Item Background : The Mantle of the Force is an item assembled by Suvam Tan from pieces found in the ruins of Exar Kun's temples on the fourth moon orbiting Yavin. It appears to be the remains of an even older artifact of an unknown origin. It is not known if it was used by Exar Kun, or just uncovered when his temples were destroyed. Nor is it known what the original properties of the item were, but given the current abilities, in its original form it must have been fearsome indeed. The Mantle is a Crystalline Lattice, resembling a Lightsaber Crystal in many ways, but having the additional property of being able to radically alter the flow of energy that passes through it. When combined with other crystals, the Mantle warps their properties, often enchancing them to incredible levels. Additionally, the Mantle seems to almost act as a focusing tool for Force-Sensitive individuals, leading to the idea that the original artifact may once have been a powerfull tool of the Sith, or perhaps something they took with them when the Dark Jedi originally split from the order. g) Heart of the Guardian (Only appears after fourth star map) Type : Lightsaber Crystal Credits : 20000 Amount : 1 Special : Upgradable Lightsaber Item Background: Though its origins have been lost, the legendary artifact known as the Heart of the Guardian was rumored to have beem instrumental in the founding of the Guardian order of Jedi. Nothing further is mentioned in any Jedi archive but both Sith and Jedi whisper their own legends. According to the Jedi, the Heart will appear in a time of greatest turmoil and deliver the galaxy into salvation. The Sith, however, believe it to be an object of their heritage, which will bring the Galaxy under their domination. The Heart of the Guardian appears to be a mgnificiently shaped Lightsaber Crystal of unknown compsoation. Analysis by Suvam Tan has yielded inconclusive results, not be able to indenify what material its made of. Suvam has even began to wonder if its a normal crystal at all, for at times it almost seems to be alive. All known Lightsaber Crystals seem to have a strange resemlance with the Heart of the Guardian, their properties beingg altered or enchanced when in close proximity to it. Additionally, energy focused through the Heart results in a beam of unique claruty and colour. h) Baragwin Heavy Repeating Blaster : Type : Heavy Blaster Credits : 19000 Amount : 1 Feats Required : Weapon Proficiency - Heavy Weapons Damage : Energy 3-22 Range : 28m Critical Threat : 20-20 x2 Special : Upgradable Ranged Background : A heavier version of the Baragwin Assault Gun, this weapon features similar improvements over its more common version. The incredible amounts of energy combined in the beam can be upgraded even further to produce a blast capable of setting even durasteel on fire for brief periods. i) Baragwin Disruptor - X Weapon : Type : Blaster Rifle Credits : 16000 Amount : 1 Feats Required : Weapon Proficiency - Blaster Rifle Damage : Physical 2-12 Range : 28m Critical Threat : 20-20 x2 Attack Modifer : +1 Special : Upgradable Ranged Background : Using the same 'shaped energy' concept as in his Ion-X Weap on, Suvam Tan has modified a Baragwin disruptor weapon as well, giving compa rable levels of concussive force to the blast that the Ion-X Weapon delivers. Upgrades to this weapon could potentially greatly increase both the impact forceand the penetration of its changes. j) Baragwin Assault Gun : Type : Blaster Rifle Credits : 15000 Amount : 1 Feats Required : Weapon Proficiency - Heavy Weapons Damage : Energy 3-20 Range : 28m Critical Threat : 20-20 x2 Special : Upgradable Ranged Background : This light repeating blaster is an excellent example of the Baragwin aptitude for weaponary. By taking and modifying an existong repeating blaster design, the Baragwin have managed to greatly increase the damage and added additional functionality with a variety of upgrade options. k) Baragwin Ion-X Weapon Type : Blaster Rifle Credits : 12000 Amount : 1 Feats Required : Waepon Proficiency – Blaster Rifle Damage : Ion 1-6 Damage Bonus : Physical +1-10 Range : 28m Critical Threat : 20-20 x2 Attack Modifier : +_3 Background : This weapon is an experimental Baragwin design that has been extensively modified Suvam Tan. He has incorporated what he describes as a ‘shaped – energy’ delivery system into the weapon, which allows it to deliver concussive force on impact in addition to the weapons normal energy discharge. Upgrades to the weapon could potentially greatly increase both its impact force and its penetration. l) Advanced Agent Interface : Type : Visor Credits : 10000 Amount : 1 Feats Required : Armour Proficency – Light Skills : Awareness +7, Computer Use +7, Demolitions +7, Repair +7 and Security +7 Background : A Visor with ab intergrated computer and electronics analysis system, the Advanced Agent Interface uses a superior artifical intelligence routine to assist the wearer in all manner of covert and computer – oriented tasks. It can also be used to connect to a secure computer via physical cables, enabling the AI to act on its own to breach that system. m) Anvanced Bio – Stabiliser Mask : Type : Mask Credits : 6000 Amount : 1 Feats Required : Armour Proficency – Light Immunity : Mind – Affecting and Poison Saves : All +1 Background : Similar to the Advanced Bio – Stabiliser Implant, this mask analyzes circulation patterns through the skin, monitors breathing through chemical sensors, abd reactions through eye movements. It additional acts as a nearly complete environmental system, preventing toxins from ever reaching the wearer. n) Medical Interface Visor : Type : Visor Credits : 5000 Amount : 1 Feats Required : Armour Proficency – Light Skills : Treat Injury +10 Background : Similar in functionality to the Bio-Stabiliser series of medical equipment, thiws visor is designed to assist in the care and treatment of injured individuals. By providing constant data and analysis on the condition of the patient, this visor greatly increases the chance of survival of even the most critically injured of patients. o) Advanced Stabiliser Golves : Type : Gloves Credits : 8500 Amount : 1 Dexterity : +3 Blaster Bolt Deflection : +5 Background : This gloves contain an advanced fire control and trajectory analysis system which links to held ranged weapons. This allows the user greater accuracy when aiming their own weapons, and also gives warning when incoming fire would likely hit the wearer. p) Baragwin Stealth Unit : Type : Visor Credits : 10000 Amount : 1 Awarness +4 and Stealth +10 Dexerity : +3 Background : Similar in concept to the Baragwin Shadow Armour, the Baragwin Stealth Unit is a quantum leap in advancement over standard stealth units. It provides much greater camouflage, as well as enhancing the mobility and situational awareness of the wearer to potential threats. q) Advanced Alacrity Implant : Type : Implant Credits : 22000 Amount : 1 Feats Required : Implant Level 3 Dexterity : +5 Background : By fine-tuning the user’s nervous system, this implant allows vastly improved reaction times and coordination over unmodified individuals. The success of this implant, though not in wide distribution due to its cost ,has prompted some at rival Bavakar Medical Research Labs to call for it to be banned. r) Advanced Combat Implant : Type : Implant Credits : 7000 Amount : 1 Feats Required : Implant Level 3 Bonus Feat : Weapon Focus Blaster Pistol Bonus Feat : Weapon Focus : Blaster Rifle Bonus Feat : Weapon Focus : Heavy Weapons Bonus Feat : Weapon Focus : Melee Weapons Bonus Feat : Weapon Focus : Blaster Pistol Bonus Feat : Weapon Focus : Blaster Rifle Bonus Feat : Weapon Specialization : Heavy Weapons Bonus Feat : Weapon Specialization : Melee Weapons Background : The Advanced Combat Implant is an experimental technology, designed to make computer data available to the user. Naturally, one of the first used for this technology was combat. This implant contains weapon specification, and advanced usage techniques for all know weaponry in the Republic and associated territories. s) Advanced Sensory Implant : Type : Implant Credits : 3500 Amount : 1 Feats Required : Implant Level 3 Skills : Awareness +10 and Dexterity +2 Background : By assisting the areads of the user’s brain dedicated to sensory-interpritation, this impant greatly heightens the user’s awareness of their surroundings, as well as spatial perception and analysis. t) Advanced Bio-Stabilizer Implant Type : Implant Credits : 3000 Amount : 1 Feats Required : Implant Level 3 Immunity : Mind-Affecting and Poison Background : This detailed micro-computer analyzes the contents of the user’s circulatory system, as well as surges and drops in nerve transmission rates. It attempts to stabilize the user’s system, and remove undesireable elements from it. u) Composite Heavy Plating : Type : Credits : 3000 Amount : 1 Feats Required : Droid Upgrade Class 3 Defense Bonus : 13 Background : This plating forges mobility in favour of sheer mass. The he composite plates covering the droid do not allow the range of motion that other armour systems may grant their user, but in terms of of physical protection, this plating is the best in the galaxy. v) Advanced Droid Interface : Credit : 9000 Amount : 1 Feats Required : Droid Upgrade Class 3 Skills : Awareness +7, Computer Use +7, Demolitions +7 and Security +7 Background : A self-contained articial intelligence system, this module can equipped on droids to provide them with additional resources useful in the bypassing of computer and conventional security systems. This AI extends the current capabilities of the mounting droid to a level typically only seen on military espionage droids. w) Baragwin Droid Shield : Type : Armour Credits : 4000 Amount : 1 Feats Required : Droid Upgrade Class 1 Uses : Unlimited Background : A super-efficient of a normal droid energy shield, the Baragwin version has been modified and customized to be able to run off the power supply of the droid mounting it. While the enrgy drain on the droid is insignificant, the protection gained is equal, if not superior, to be a normal light droid energy shield. x) Baragwin Flame Thrower : Type : Droid Weapon Credits : 3000 Amount : 1 Feats Required : Droid Upgrade Class 2 Uses : Unlimited Background : Using an innovative technique, the Baragwin have managed to modifiy a normal flame thrower to operate in such a fashion as to ignite the very atmosphere around a charged guidance beam. The result is a flame thrower that doesn’t need an external fuel source and can be run virtually in- definitely. y) Baragwin Stun Ray : Type : Droid Weapon Credits : 3000 Amount : 1 Feats Required : Droid Upgrade Class 2 Uses : Unlimited Background : While not the most powerful of weapons, the Baragwin have modified a normal stun ray to run at such efficiency that it can tap into the power supply of the droid mounting it, giving it unlimited changes. z) Baragwin Shield Disruptor : Type : Droid Weapon Credits : 3000 Amount : 1 Feats Required : Droid Upgrade Class 2 Uses : Unlimited Background : The Baragwin have tweaked and tuned a normal Shield Disruptor to be able too run off the mounting droid’s power supply, giving it unlimited changes. As you can see, these items are pricy, but are well worth it. When you go to Yavin after collecing all four Star Maps you will have to fight some enemy’s (credit to anyone who reminds of the name of these enemy’s) which are tough, but you should be powerful enough to take them out by this time in the game. Once you have beaten them, there will be three lots of remains, which will yield 1000 credits each (A nice addition to the credts you already have!). You will then be able to buy the items mentioned above from Suvam Tan. You can also play Pazaak with Suvam Tan.
