Version History: March 1, 2002- Started this entire thing.
I plan to make this the best I can.
March 2, 2002- Finished the entire thing. Made some good
tactics for everyone's liking. Posted the rumors.
March 4, 2002 -Added a few tips, as well as added a site
for this to be viewed on.
March 20, 2002- Added a glitch, along with its credit, and
discovered a minor thing in one of the arenas. I also
corrected a mistake. Jedi Battle is only up to 2 players.

What is Jedi Battle?

Jedi Battle mode is a feature in the game that allows you
to fight against your friends and/ or siblings. 2 players
may participate to see who the ultimate champ is. You
select characters, and then a course.

In Jedi-Battle, you have almost any control options that
the in-game characters use, with the exception of the
punches and kicks, the really good force attack that Qui-
Gon uses in the swamp and droid level, and the super force
attack.

A few little glitches may occur in Jedi Battle, but they do
not make the game bad. The glitches are only minor things
like when you kill your opponents, instead of them dying,
they just stand there. It is no matter, because the battle
is still won and lost, the game just makes that one small
mistake. More glitches will be covered later on.

The characters

In Jedi Battle, as I mentioned before, you need characters
to play. You will start off with Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon, but
will gain more as you progress in the one player mode. I
will list those unlocked.

Depa-Bilaba- Beat the training droid to get her.
Plo-Koon- Beat him to use him in Jedi-Battle
Eeth-Koth- Beat Plo Koon.
Adi-Gallia- Beat Plo Koon.
Saesee Tin- Beat him.
Ki-Adi-Mundi- Beat the previous.
Mace Windu- Beat him.

The other two characters are listed in the rumor section,
because I have not confirmed if getting them is true.

How do I get characters?

Throughout the 1-player mode, you will face several Jedi in
training. Some are mandatory, and when beaten unlock
certain Jedi. I listed which characters unlock what in the
"The characters" section, although I'm not sure about my
accuracy in it. Send me an e-mail if I'm wrong.

As I said, some are mandatory to beat. Those unlock the
Jedi. The ones that are optional are just there for your
fun, or for supposedly getting Darth Maul, which is once
again listed later.

The courses

There are four courses given to you right away. In order to
earn more, you have to beat certain levels in the game.

Tuskan course- Beat the war chief, and then this course is
yours.

Power Core- Beat Darth Maul, and then you can play on this
course.

In the Saber Arena, there is no where to hide, but if you
want to fool your opponents, force push them down, and then
climb the ledge, and put away your saber. You will hardly
be noticed.

In the Federation Ship, use the box in the middle as a
weapon, and when it disappears, force push your rival to
the ground, and withdraw you saber. You will hardly be
noticeable as long as you stay away from the blue area.
Attack your opponent from behind, and then take him out.
Also, if you ever noticed, there is an area at the top of
the arena. To get there, simply throw the box you start
with to the side, jump on it, and jump on the ledge.

In the power core, be Mace Windu. This way, you can't be
force pushed down into the center. Tell your friend/
sibling to be Qui-Gon, and then force push him down. By the
time he realizes your strategy and tries it on you, it'll
be to late. You wont go far, and can send him packing like
usual.

In the Tuskan course, light your enemies on fire. Should
you be lit, go to the southern area, and there is water.
Touch the water, and you're fine. Just sneak up on your
enemy, and you can be unbeatable. Also, rolling takes the
fire out, but not as fast.

Palace Atrium- There is an upper level containing power
ups. To get to it, jump to the little ledge near the
upstairs door. It is a good hiding place for newcomers.
Also, you can take shelter at the bottom, as long as you
remember to turn off the saber. In order to quickly get up
the stairs, force jump as you run. Catch up to your enemies
in this manner, or simply stay away. If your enemy has
little health, throw the saber at him/her, because there is
plenty of space, and that method really caught me by
surprise, especially when my fiend beat me like that on his
first battle.

The Great Hall- Much like the previous course, except you
can throw things. Power ups may appear in the center in
order to help you out. Just use the old hide and sneak
tactics, and you'll have no problem.

Good Strategy

Here I will list specific character tactics, as well as any
type of tactic that is particularly well in Jedi Battle,
but not in the main game.

Sneak and Run- Hiding from enemies with your saber put
away, and then rushing up to attack them from behind. Sneak
and run can also be performed with throwing the saber, as
it is also a nifty little trick. Just don't miss, or your
cover is blown.

Swerve and Hit- First of all, block your opponent and stun
them. Look carefully at whichever hand there saber is in.
This is there dominant hand. Swerve with the lock-on to
their non-dominant side, and attack from there. You can
easily win like this. To block it, always be prepared, and
slow time to make it obvious when they attack.

Hit and Throw- Knock your rivals health down, and then if
they try to slip away, and you can't hit them, throw the
saber to take them down for good.

Push and Hit- Force push, and then if they fall, hit them
more, in order to chip away the health. Note: This won't
work if fighting Mace Windu.

Fall and Counter- If you get force pushed, use the right
trigger and make it go right, and then when you get up, you
swing the saber.

Block and Strike- Block your enemy, and hit them when they
are stunned. This is very common with the more experienced.

Hide and Throw- Hide from your opponent, and then throw
your saber to hit them when they're off guard. It can also
be combined with the hit and throw technique. Also, make
sure you hit your opponent, or else your cover is blown.
And after throwing, go somewhere else to hide, and
alternate between then two places until your opponent is
dead.

Flame and Strike- In the tuskan war chief arena, light your
rivals on fire, and then strike them fast, so that there
health can chip away faster than normal.

Slow to Fast- During the battles, you should try and catch
your opponents off guard by pushing the force and white
button to slow time. Although you are slow, your rival may
be caught off guard, and you can attack him like nuts, and
then when time goes back to normal, they will have trouble
again. Only do this with precise timing, though, or the
tactic wont work.

Acrobatic Hits- During a match, you should remember to use
the acrobatic moves if you've thrown your saber, or if your
opponent is good and you want to avoid them. This can be
combined very well with the slow to fast tactic to catch
your opponent off guard without taking damage.

Jump and Hit- Throughout the match, if you need to keep
protecting yourself from a barrage of attacks, or need to
make your opponent look like a fool, jump over their
attacks, and hope that they miss. Swerve if it's an
overhead. When you fell it's time, force jump over your
rival, and then hit him/her from behind.

Jump and Strike: This is different from the jump and hit.
You jump, and swing your saber while in the air. You can
have a hard time aiming, though, and when you land, your
opponent can slip out of view, so this tactic, though
simple, is really for more experienced players.

Flip and Strike: Force jump away from your enemies many
times to look as though you're running away, and then push
the black button to make yourself flip backward into their
direction. Then, just strike as they try to escape your
evil trick.

There and Back: While running, make it look as though your
trying to escape an attack. Then, while still pushing
forward, push the black button to turn around, and then
either go for good hits, or throw the saber and then attack
your rival head on. Either way works, and can lead you to
victory.

Rush and Fly: Although it sounds like a football play, if
you rush to your opponent, push the acrobatic button (b),
and then push the a button as you approach your enemy, you
can do a round off into a jump, and then nail your opponent
from behind as you land. This protects you from a few
attacks, too.

Dodge and Nail: If your opponent throws their saber, jump
over it, and go for them head on, or throw yours, recover
it, and then whack them.
Note: Combining the above works well and makes you
unbeatable.

Also, you can sort of do the really weird spinning attack
that Qui-Gon uses. Push on the right thumb stick right,
left, and then up or forward. It isn't the exact same, but
it's still something.

Obi-Wan- Very fast and agile. If you choose him, don't
hesitate to use the force attacks, because he recovers
force power in a snap. He does go far when pushed, though,
and I find he is not great at blocking. With Obi-Wan, your
health may go down fast, but you could stand a fair chance
at beating people because of that great force recovery I
mentioned. Obi-Wan has no dialogue (pressing in the left
trigger).

Qui-Gon- Similar to Obi-Wan, except for his green saber. He
has decent health abilities, but his force recovers very
slowly. I find he has good blocking, and can blend in with
surrounding very well, because of his camouflaging beard.
His dialogue is poor, because it only mentions Obi-Wan.
Qui-Gon has good evading, too. I suggest him instead of
Obi-Wan.

Plo-Koon- Not a bad character, many people use him. He has
decent force recovery, strong attacks, and is an agile
character. His defense is pretty good, and he can force
push his enemies really far. He can thrust his saber with
the force and up, which does very good damage. Plo-Koon is
a very good choice for intermediates.

Eeeth-Koth- I find that he is very easy to beat. His force
recovery is slow as anything, and his defense makes him
die. He is slow altogether, and can easily be hit. If he
gets stunned, he is basically dead. However, his force and
up is really powerful, and although his force recovery is
slow, and he uses it at a rapid pace, you could make it
through with him, if you really tried. Eeeth-Koth should
only be used for the experts who know every nook and cranny
of them game, or rookies who really want a good challenge.

Adi-Galia- She is very good, and comes from the Jedi-
Apprentice book series. She is a female version of Qui-Gon,
and has good defense and force recovery. She may as well
run a marathon with that speed of hers. If someone uses my
tactics while playing as her, they are guaranteed
unstoppable. Adi has high attack power, and is a good
choice for anyone who wants to win many matches, and who
wants to make a complete fool out of their friends.

Saesee-Tin- He barely uses force power, and has good
attack. What he does use recovers quickly. He is fast,
agile, and can evade attacks. His force and up on the right
thumb stick can take down any enemy very quickly. His saber
goes far, and as I said, uses almost no force power. This
character is meant for anyone, pro or rookie, to use.

Ki-Adi-Mundi- Much like Saesee-Tin, he is very powerful.
Although his force power gets used up easier, he can
recover it very quickly. His force and up on the right
thumb stick does even more damage than Saesee-Tin. He is
very agile, and is also a good choice for anyone playing
the game.

Depa-Bilaba- Not a bad starter, she can attack at a rapid
pace. Although her defense is low, and her speed and
evasiveness could use a bit of a tune up, she is a good
choice for those who have yet to unlock the later
characters.

Mace-Windu- Mace is the ultimate Jedi. He has slow force
recovery, but to make up for it, has good defense, and
barely budges when force pushed. He is agile, and has the
ultimate text. "I'll shread your name, and scatter you to
the winds of Alderaan!" Uh hu, that's what I'm talking
about.

Some rumors

Apparently, there are codes to unlock Yoda and Darth Maul.
I have not confirmed these, but I will post them for your
use.

Littleguy7- beat the game with this name, and you're
supposed to get Yoda in Jedi Battle. Although I have, I
think you need either Darth Maul, or the medals to get
Yoda.

Glitches:

During Jedi Battle matches, you may come across some
glitches. These include

Dying without being touched
When you die, just standing there
Minor Lockups
Falling from almost fatal places and not loosing health
A special slow-motion glitch:
In order to play an entire level in slow motion, first push
the slow motion button (force+white), then throw your
saber. When time re-vearts to normal, keep holding the
button, and when your force power drains to a little less
then half, slow time again. When the saber returns, it will
sound as if it goes back to normal time, but if you walk,
you will see that throughout the entire level, you will be
in slow motion. To escape this, push the slow motion
command again.

Frequently Asked Questions
These are either going to be questions asked, or questions
that may be asked.

Yoda didn't work. What's wrong?
I think you either need Maul, or the medals.

Could you help me beating [insert level]'s time?
Yes. Look at my general FAQ/Walkthrough, where there are
tips for beating the times.

I found something neat with [insert character] and/or
[insert course].
Not a question, but if you e-mail me with the subject Obi-
Wan, and tell me, if I find it any good, I'll post it and
give you credit. If I am putting it, and I notice I already
had it, I'm not giving the credit, because I knew about it
already, so please, only e-mail me with new info.

Can you confirm yoda or maul?
As of now, I am just about positive that it is false, and
am immediately removing it from my FAQ, until proven true.

What to do and what not to do.

Do:
Be aggressive
Use power ups
Use my tactics, or your own
Learn from experience
Try your hardest
Block

Don't:
Frustrate yourself
Blame the game when you lose
Use the same tactic over and over
Waist force power
Get off-guard completely
Be blocked
