Asked on: 12/25 3:54PMOn Halo CE like how do u go up against another player 1 on 1 ?my bro and i want to but when we go to do multiplayer we choose the option that isnt split-screen but the one where u can have up to 4 people.i choose my profile and he chooses default then we choose blood gulch,but after that we can't choose any gameplay like slayer or anything,what do we need to do?or why isnt it working the game just freezes?

no i'm playing on one Xbox 360 and all i wanna know is why won't the game load when i go to chose a game mode(like slayer.)it has a lock on the choices but how do i un-lock them.
The lock symbol does not matter (that symbol means it is a fixed gametype that you can't edit it in "Edit Gametypes". You CAN still select the gametype to play it after going through Split Screen).
So go ahead and select it after going through. If it doesn't load when you select it, you might have chosen "System Link" back on the Multiplayer Menu by accident. You're supposed to select Split-Screen when playing on one Xbox. I'm thinking this might have been the problem because you said in the question that you didn't choose split-screen.
If that wasn't the problem, then it probably means there's a problem with the disc or with your Xbox 360, as there are known glitches and issues when some people try to play Halo on the 360 instead of an original Xbox. It's not known if these will be fixed in the future. Personally my 360 works fine with Halo, but I've heard from others that their's does not.
