Question from GnR546
Asked on: 2/28 7:58AMWhen ever I do the game I make a Scout and treat him as a Soldier just for the implants. Is this really a good idea or just make a Soldier?

statusI suggest making a soldier, from my experience it's the easiest one, but the funnest, in my opinion, are the other two.
I suggest you simply chose a soldier and but the implant upgrades as soon as you level up some.
I think the scout is the best class because you get implants for free, start off with a rank in flurry, and have repair as a class skill so you can upgrade HK-47. If you want the weapon specialization, just chose a jedi guardian and use lightsabers.
A Scout levelled to fight as a Soldier is the best possible starting class in the game. Flurry is better than Power Strike, free Implant feats are nice, and it gives you a good amount of skill points.
Stick as a Soldier, you'll get the same amount of feats but bonus health.
The only reason you want a scout is if you want to travel with HK-47. Otherwise your just making your guy weaker. The only skills needed is Persuade anyways, not important at all though at Taris so you can save the skill points untill you become a Jedi and Persuade is a class skill, that is also where persuade comes in handy a lot more.
Security is nice but you can always smash the stuff or just switch in carth or mission quickly to open it for you. Treat Injury might be helpful but you can easily replace it with force heal.
Regardless the high Int you really need is 8 which means the other five are stronger. You could set it to 14 however if you really wanted treat injury or security. Demolitions is nice to but remember you can just bring in Mission to take care of it for you.
Also not only as a Soldier do you get extra health but higher BAB. The scout will only have better saving throws which you hardly notice by the time you find you find your first star map. Besides Taris is easy if your a soldier you don't need those saving throws.
I make either a Soldier/Jedi Guardian(Hack your way through the game or Scout/Jedi Sentinel(Immune to crits once you become a jedi. My sentinel is basicly god on malek. He can't even touch me lol. I use force drain to make the battle quicker. I can beat him in about ohhhh 2minutes. Messing around....3 minutes! :D
