"One of the most addictive fighters ever made."

Dead or Alive has made extreme changes since DOA 3.The game is a lot more fun and really feels like your fighting in the game.I would say people that are not a big fan of fighters could even enjoy this game even though it might be tough for them on certain difficulty's.The game actually comes with two games....DOA 1(Which is terrible and were not gonna talk about it) and DOA 2 a total remade version of Hardcore with better graphics, more of everything and on line play.

The game play hasn't changed much. The reversal system is toned up a great lot though and it feels a lot easier to reverse than it did in DOA 3.And the sheer combat is simply amazing, there are tons of combos to pull off and its really not that hard to so its extremely easy to just get into the game and play it hours on end.The game has a pretty fair roster.Ultimate has all the characters you loved in the third game(But sorry no Christi). And when your done doing everything with the single player modes(which will take hours)you can take your competition on line and duke it with people on Live. There is also standard modes like survival and time attack that are pretty addictive in there own right and you can even upload your final scores on Live which adds more to the value of the game.

The game looks amazing.Even better looking than DOA 3.As you can imaging the girls look fabulous and the visuals have been boosted to the max.The levels are huge and its fun to explore them and learn there history,(There is even a few hidden easter eggs in some). And once again the character models just look fantastic. Some people will buy this games for the graphics alone,so either way if your in games for graphics or game play this game has something to offer to you.

If there is anything bad about DOA Ultimate its the sound, some of the voice actors are terrible and anytime there is an Oprah Scene in Story Mode you just wanna rip your ears out.Although sometimes it sounds great and rocking slick which is nearly needed in all fighting games to keep your adrenalin rushing.

If your a fan of fighters your gonna be playing Ultimate for months and months to come. There are over a hundred costumes in the game that all look different and pretty neat. And they take a lot of time and sometimes skill to unlock. And then when your done with that you have on line mode to look forward to.They have a B+,D- kind of ranking system so your encouraged to keep your score as high as you can.It takes a long time to learn the ropes of players on line and the CPU's, but once you get the hang of the reversals and learn some good moves you'll be kicking but and once you get a win streak going on you wont want to stop as your grade will rise and rise.On line mode feels like one of those fighter stories were they low class fighter must compete in a world tournament filled and gain there way to the top of the charts,on line mode is a lot like that but with real people just like you trying to be the best.

Overall this game is 100% game and 100% fun just like Team Ninja says. The worst part of the game is easily the sound but you will quickly get over that with the games fun addictive modes and amazing graphics, and if your a fan of fighters it would be insanely foolish to pass this game up,as its probably the best fighter this generation.
