"Awesome!!!"

Jack Carver is back into action in Far Cry Instincts Evolution. This time he will start out with a few feral abiltities: feral run, feral jump, feral smell, and feral strength. (Later you learn feral climb) Like in Far Cry Instincts, most of the game takes place outdoors. The game has an excellent story mode. The main problem is that there just isnt enough of it. .

Gameplay: 8/10

The gameplay in the game is pretty good, though it could be better. Some things don't make sense like if you touch a person while riding an ATV, they'll die instantly. Sniping is also very difficult. In multiplayer, you can find yourself shooting tons of bullets at someone while they move side to side dodging them. Another annoying thing, though it can be quite comical, is that you will live if you jump off a cliff into water. The rest is pretty much how it should be. Guns and grenades do a good amount of damage like they should. The main problem is that it is just too hard to hit someone while they move side to side. Vehicles also enhance the game. There are plenty of vehicles and weapons throughout the story mode and multiplayer.

Story: 8/10

The story isn't that much different than the origional game. Jack Carver is on an island and goes around killing. This time there is a larger variety of environments you will encounter though. Another improvement from the first game is that there are several ways to approach the places you have to go and different ways to achieve your objectives.

Graphics: 9/10

The graphics are spectacular. They would be a 10/10 if it wasn't for the poor character models in the cutscenes. Everything else in the game looks fantastic. They are some of the best I've seen on the Xbox and on every other console.

Sound: 10/10

Everything sound so realistic. It is also fun to listen to the enemies when they heard you but don't see you. Perfect audio.

Time Spent: It really doesn't take long to beat the game at all. It took less than 10 hours to complete it on easy difficulty and not much longer for the other difficulties. However, like said before, there are several ways to complete goals making it exciting and different each time you play the story mode. The multiplayer is also fun if you gather a few friends up. Though if you don't have Xbox Live and don't have many friends with Xboxes, don't plan on system linking. For system link you can only have one person per Xbox. If you have 8 people, you better have 8 Xboxes and 8 game disks also. (And of course the cords to connect them all.) There is always system link though giving an option to have a 2vs.2 or a 4 person FFA.

In conclusion, the game is worth picking up for $30 or at the very least, renting it. I haven't played the game on Xbox Live so I'm not sure how much fun that is.
