The Guy Game
Review by Vanilla_ice_fan
"A Fun Party Game"
Need some late night fun with your buddies? If so, The Guy Game is just what you're after.
Presentation: 9/10
The Guy Game has very good presentation. The movies and pictures you can unlock are crystal clear. All footage seems nicely shot, and audio has no problems. There are no problems here.
Game play: 8/10
Flash-O-Meter... the one thing should always remember. Filling this up is your one goal (thus being, it removes all censors from you seeing... the 'goods'). While at times this may be a pain, it is all your knowledge being tested, so the blame would be on your shoulders if you do not succeed. And assuming you do succeed, you'll be handsomely rewarded with a 'Hottie-Challenge' (a movie in which all three female contestants participate in very entertaining games, such as: Jump-Roping, Bouncing-Balls and Hula-Hoops, while a majority of the time they are topless while competing). While multi-player is where the major fun is at (the rules are very entertaining to play with). Going through one of the many episodes single-player style isn't so bad itself. The questions are sometimes challenging, but for the most part very answerable, and offer a nice experience. And how can I forget the "Ballz" mini-games? They offer a nice change up to the trivia style game play, and are cool bragging rights against your buddies. All in all game play is solid and should offer exactly what you're looking for.
Extras: 6/10
While there are extras, and unlockables, they do not standout. There are some short videos, and a lot of still photos to unlock. But they could of added a little bit more here, while there is stuff here, it doesn't make or break this game.
Replayability: 7/10
Playing through single-player again is definitely not a great idea, as it can get very repetitive. But multi-player once again offers a lot in terms of replay. There is an 'extra-trivia' option, which changes the questions players will get, preventing one from memorizing all of the answers. And with each multi-player game you play you should always try and use the drinking rules provided, or even make up your own rules (for excitement purposes). Plus there are always those previously mentioned 'Ballz' mini-games for you to enjoy.
Final Thoughts
To be honest, this game itself is really only worth a rent for a night with your buddies, unless you have people over often who may enjoy this game, I don't see to many reasons why you'd buy this game. Unless of course you're a very lonely fellow (just kidding). But seriously, rent this for a party night, or buy it for a lot of party nights, unless really low priced.
