Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
Review by wierdo124
"Another Rockstar GTA Hit!"
This game can best be described as wonderful, perfect, and probably the best game of 2005. It can get a little overboard in the violence, but in everything else, it makes up for it.
Graphics: 8/10 The graphics in San Andreas are nearly perfect, everything is sculpted wonderfully; there are no hexagons or octagons or any shapes there shouldn't be. So the only reason I deducted two points is because when you are flying fast in a plane or helicopter, or if you cheat, a car, or driving an outrageously fast motorcycle, the faster you go, the display seems to get fuzzy and pauses randomly. But if you slow down, it will stop and be fine. But if you are not going fast it won't do this, then the graphics will flow together perfectly.
Sound: 10/10 Nothing wrong with the sound. There is just about any kind of music you can possibly want to listen to, from classic rock, to country, to hard metal, to hip hop and rap. All in different "radio stations" so you can pick what you want. There are many songs in each one too. As for the game sounds, they are the same; just fine. Gangster lingo is perfectly said, unlike in MC3 where they don't know how to pull it off. Here they do. Well done Rockstar.
Story: 10/10 You are coming back to Los Santos, San Andreas because your mother has been murdered. On your way back to your old house on Grove Street, some crooked cops try to nail CJ for homicide. It's up to you to complete missions, gain respect, and prove yourself. Missions are usually done for other people; they need something done, ask CJ to help them, and there you are. They range from driving school to burglaries. There are also sub-missions like FireFighter and Paramedic, and couriers and even Taxis, which will help you earn money, and have other rewards. Such as fireproof CJ. There are also girlfriends that will get you rewards like police uniforms, and keeping weapons when you die.
Customization 10/10 Honestly, everything in this game can be customized. From cars' paint jobs to nitro to hydraulics. From CJ's hairdo to his clothes. Real clothes too. I actually figured it out there is like 140 something possibilities for him to wear.
Replay 7/10 Not as strong here. There is nothing different you can do really. Go through the exact same missions. It is funner to just drive around shooting people when you finish the game. Make the cops mad so they get helicopters and tanks chasing you. Shoot rocket launchers at them and blow them up.
Rent/Buy Buy. Definitely buy. It will serve you weeks if not months of enjoyment, you won't even get a good start in the plot renting it-not enough time. Unless you have Game Fly, but still just buy the game. Just like 20 bucks now at Best Buy.
Thanks to Rockstar for making this awesome game. It will serve it's buyers well.
