Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter
Review by The_Great_h4x0r
"Surprisingly Fun Game But Lacks Replay Value"
Jedi Starfighter is actually a suprisingly good game!
Story - 6/10
Honestly the story was rather boring and I paid little attention to it. It's basically just your standard "crazy guy builds crazy weapons and tries to kill people" type of story. Of course it does have its moments. The story doesn't really make you care or connect with any of the characters, which made me personally not care what was going on.
Graphics - 7/10
The graphics could be better but they're not horrible. The explosions could be better and the missile trails could be a bit more interesting but other than that it's pretty good. Especially space, the star clusters and other heavenly bodies in the background are a pretty sight.
Sound - 3/10
The sounds and voice acting in this game are horrible. The sounds for the weapons have so little variety, that you'll be tired of them by the 2nd level. The voice acting is simply terrible, it's uninteresting and just a bit strange. The first time I played through the game I didn't know what was going on at all because I just couldn't bring myself to listen to the voice acting.
Gameplay - 9/10
This is where Jedi Starfighter really shines. The gameplay is simple but extremely fun. You fly around in space shooting people basically, but it works! There's a good variety of ships to fly once you unlock them, and each of them have some cool unique weapons. The games controls are pretty good and well thought out. It's just a really fun game!
Environments - 8/10
The environments in this game are great. From deep space, to snowy mountains, to a endless desert. You can even fly around a moon! The games environments are excellent. Of course, deep space is kinda boring on some levels when there are no planets or asteroids, etc. to look at, afterall... it's space, but the other environments are great.
Replay Value - 5/10
Honestly I see no purpose in playing the story more than once unless your one of those people who try to get all the bonus and secret objectives. The game comes with some cool extra missions but they get old pretty fast. You could always try using other ships and doing missions in co-op but still it doesn't bring the replay value up that much.
Overall - 7/10
This game while suffering from average story, poor sounds, and limited replay value, it still really fun. I enjoyed it and would recommend this game for anyone who just wants to have some fun, even if you don't want to buy it, I would recommend renting it if you can find it.
