AirForce Delta Storm
Review by Mc Jigge
"Asi-Asi, its ok but they're better.........."
This game is good, if you like airplane type games. This game is the first jet fighter game on Xbox and hopefully not the last. It has its pros and cons, the pros out weigh the cons, but not by much.
Graphics:
The graphics on all xbox games are stunning and this game is no exception. You can see almost every nut and bolt on the airplanes and the battlegrounds are beautiful. The jet fighters in this game are designed extremely good and some take after real life fighters if your into that kind of thing. Planes such as the Mirage and Tomcat look uber-cool and are something to impress your friends when they come over. Some little things to grumble over, like the airplanes don't look like they are traveling faster when they speed up, just a slightly boost in thruster out-burn. All in all, it serves its pupouse and then some.
9/10
Sound:
The sound is So-So on this game. Nothing to brag about, but nothing to can tick you off. The standard for a game of this type. The only beef I have with this is that their is only one sound for each type of animation or ''action''. So after 50+ missions you might hear the same plane blowing up in your sleep.
7/10
Music:
The music rocks in this game. You must think I have mood swings. Sad to happy in one category, well anyway the music makes you feel like your playing sega genesis. The music fits the mood perfectly. The beats don't really stand out, but you know they are there. No complaints, prefect.
10/10
Controls:
The controls are standard. A button for missiles, a button for machineguns, a button to go faster, a button to slow down, and a button to bring on the map. No complaints, I just wish the ''A'' button was used for something.
9/10
Gameplay:
The gameplay like the title suggests is Asi-Asi (so-so in Spanish). The first time you jump into the cockpit your amazed by the graphics and controls. You dust off the jets on your back and defend the beachhead. Then you can't wait to get to the next mission and you have to pass a couple of points to get to the location. Thats means you have to beat fighters and then beat the missions, not a hard feat but its still annoying. Now the gameplay is fun and with over 50+ missions the play it won't be over fast, the missions are very different and creative too. But sometimes you will get sick of destroying the same thing over and over and a little pissed off fighting one fighter for 3 minutes. I have to if your a hardcore airplane gamer you will love this, if your a regular about this stuff you might lend either way. I just wish their were more weapons then missiles and machine guns.
7/10
Final:
Well this game is worth the price, and seeing as its to long to rent, you might pick it up if you have some extra cash and have all the other good games out.
Final Score:
7/10
