Dead or Alive 3
Review by DoC D1o1
"Beautiful...."
This game is beautiful. I just got some glasses for my vision. Then I played DOA2HC with my glasses on and I noticed that there were so many jaggies. Then I played DOA3 for the first time and noticed that the game was so much better. I got this game in November, but just got glasses, so I decided to make a review with a better perspective.
SOUND:
The sound in this game is excellent. The music is good too. Aerosmith is a really great band. The songs begin weird but sound good after awhile. The soundtrack in the game is better than DOA2's. Team Ninja should stick with having celebrity bands putting their songs in the game.
GRAPHICS:
This was the first thing I realized that was a BIG difference. Before I bought the game, I read other reviews. People said, ''..everything is done with perfection...''. I didn't believe them, until I bought the X-Box and DOA3. WOW, I really mean WOW!! My jaw just dropped. Not trying to sound like a pervert, but this is how good the game is: when you look closely at the girls in Sparring Mode, you can actually see their nipples.
GAMEPLAY:
Though the game play is much the same, it's still good. I, personally, like the game play. The new moves are really good. Air throws, wall moves, and running throws. These are just some examples. I felt right at home when I used the controller on the game. The controller didn't affect the gameplay for me. Only if you have small hands. And you know what that means...JK.
The menus are really organized and I like the new information thing. In other games, I usually have to guess what the option does.
First Time I played DOA3, I was amazed. My first time playing Survival Mode, I got 32 wins with Christie after playing Exercise Mode with her for 5 minutes. The controller isn't that bad.
And for those that don't have the game yet, here is my suggestion: When you get the game, don't play it all right away. Complete each character each week. That way, you will like the game more. I do it in order from left to right, up to down. I'm still on Bayman and I'm enjoying this everyday.
There wasn't any really bad things about this game. The lack of costumes wasn't a big deal. There is an Add-On Discs in February. I just wished that they had given Ein and Bayman some new throws. Hopefully, there will be many features in the Add-On Discs.
