Project Gotham Racing

Project Gothem Racing is a very fun and addictive game. It is easily one of the greatest racing games ever released on any system. I have experienced racing games and this one tops them all in most every category you can think of. I could give you reason after reason to buy this game and even someone who doesn't like car games most likely would enjoy Project Gothem Racing. Don't believe me, read this review and see for yourself that this is one game you should not pass up.

Graphics:10/10

These graphics are outstanding. I can't elaborate on how real the cars look. Not just the cars are made good but so are the cities that are in the game. You feel like you are really there behind the car it's so realistic. Even in the menu screen, the people in the background are real people at least their faces are. These is defiantly a higher level of graphics in this game than you have ever seen before, ever. It's not just the graphics that are good though, there are many other wonderful things about this game.

Sound:10/10

Yeah another 10 and a well deserved 10. Why? Because think about this for one second. There is well over 50 tracks of different songs that you can play during racing. Yeah you heard me over 50. A lot of them are good songs too. You probably haven't heard of a lot of the artists but that doesn't mean there are excellent songs throughout this game. You can customize the songs that are played in the options and make pretty much your own CD's. You can switch radio stations during racing this is so advanced! I said the car looks real and it also sound real. You'll feel like your in a race track because the car sounds like something you would hear there. Masterfully done.

Gameplay:8/10

This is where this game can get quite frustrating. It is very difficult to get the hang of this game and I would say the learning curve is at least a few hours. When you come up to curves you have to be careful because you can bust your car to obliviation if you don't turn fast enough. The trick to turning successfully is holding the break button down at the same time while turning sharp. A neat new twist to the game is a thing called kudos. Doing tricks, or pulling of sharp turns without hitting something racks up kudos points for you. Not just getting first rank is the only thing you should concentrate on. You should also concentrate on getting the kudos points as high as humanly possible before crossing the finish line. There is also many types of game modes such as quick race, kudos races and time attacks! Don't worry, there is also multiplayer which you can play with a friend. In the gameplay department, the bottom line is that it's difficult to get the hang of and it makes this game extremely hard. The modes are cool though and that is what racks up 8 points in this category. Still well done but it could be a little easier because it is really that hard.

Story:8/10

Well obviously since it's a racing game there isn't much of a story about it. You go out and race in like 200 tracks. Simple enough eh? Fun enough? Yes! In order to get a lot of these tracks though, there is a catch. You have to beat proceeding ones. Also to unlock other cars you have to get the requirements.

Replayabilty:10/10

This game easily brings you back for more gaming whether it be trying to beat that track you get get 1st on or just racing with a friend. You could easily burn this game out playing. Am I saying this game is more addicting than Gran Turismo? Yes I am and I guarantee you will be playing this game a lot longer than you expect.

Buy/Rent? Buy

There is no reason not to buy this game. It is a above average game is every aspect! It is worth every single cent of your 50 bucks you pay for it I promise you. You will get so much playing time out of this game. After reading this review and your still not satisfied at least rent it to see that this is the best racing game you have ever played, even better than Gran Turismo.

Yup this game is defiantly a 10er. It is a absolute masterpiece of a racing game and should be owned by like everyone. You will not be disappointed with this game because it offers so much you would not believe. Take my word for it and buy this game for the X-Box console and you will surely be set with racing games for life! 3...2...1 BUY!
