NASCAR Thunder 2002

"A Good Strong Game"

This is a great Title I rented it for the PS2 but bought it for the Xbox because the Graphics and sound where superior.

Lots of fun I really enjoy the career mode and Create a car. Only problem is that once your in the front all the other cars immediatly get better then they where.

If your looking for alot of fun then this is defenatly the game for you.

If you are a Nascar fan then there isnt any compentition between any of the the other Nascar games for any system. I have tried a few and I always always go back to this one.

You have full control over # of laps you race there is a good strong carreer mode and season mode if you just want to race for some quick fun turn yellow flags off and just race your heart out, If you want to feel like you really are a Nascar Driver create a car and race with all of the Normal Nascar rules, there is even a roadrace track >which I find very very difficult< Most of the drivers are in here and they even have alot of there Real life personalities, Ex. Gordon will smack you if you are leading and he wants to move up.

Graphics: 9/10
Some of the Best Graphics I have seen in a Nascar Game. Damage shows when you get smacked and do a 180 you see the airbrake plates pop up to slow you.. you can see the rubber being laid down on the track as people race, I love cockpit view as every gage in there actually works.

Control: 10/10

The Control of this game is very very easy to get used to although not very customizable.. Might be difficult if you have the Japanese X-box controller because if you arent using Automatic shifting you use buttons that are harder to hit with the Japenese controller

Sound: 10/10

The sound on this game is really amazing you can hear the wine of the engines the tires screacing all over the track the difference in your car when a tire wears or you have damage. All and all very very very well done.

Difficulty: 9/10

Its pretty Difficult because as soon as you gain a lead whatever the cars are behind you immediatly get better, good tatic in carrer mode because you can get the last place runner into 1st and if they win the race then you still move up in the standing father then they do.

Overall: 9./10
