"According to this game, Genma must mean harder, more, and better than the original"

This game is very enjoyable. Think Resident Evil only it takes place in a castle, has demons instead of zombies, and in my opinion is better than Resident Evil!

Graphics (8/10): The graphics are cool and crisp. When the camera view changes and you are face to face with a demon, you think about running away or trying to kill it but instead you take a second to admire the graphics, then run away or try to kill it. Speaking of the camera view, it is in the third-person and it is still until you run into a different area of the room, then the camera changes. It works most of the time, but in small rooms it could get you killed. Sometimes a huge monster that could kill you with one hit is just out of view and you run right into it and you don't know what happened until you are dead.

Sound (9/10): The music is great. The music always fits the mood. From eerie, to calm, to dangerous, the music actually helps in certain situations. The sound is vital for your survival in your game. Most monsters will make a particular sound, like zombie demons will roar when you enter the room. So you know what is in the room before you see it.

Story (8/10): The story is very interesting, it is about a samuria named Samanoske, that is trying to rescue his cousin (who happens to be a princess) from a castle filled with demons. I wouldn't want to give anything away so I'll leave it at that. When you start a new game, there is a long cut-scene that is not only interesting, but fills in what is going on.

Controls (8/10): It takes some time to get used to, and you can't use the control stick for movement and instead you use the D-pad. But once you get used to it, you'll know how to move Samanoske almost as well as moving yourself in real life.

Replay value (7/10): There is a lot of stuff to unlock in Genma Onimusha such as mini-games, costume changes, and new difficulty levels and you have to play through the game several times to unlock it all.

Overall (not average) (9/10): This game is a must buy, it is very long and it will take a long time to get bored of it. Still not sure? Rent it. You'll want to buy it after about 15 minutes of it. Next to Halo, this is my favorite game.
