Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Review by SpYdA
"Buffy...what a great game!"
Well, to start off, this is one the best Xbox games I have played so far. You will very much enjoy playing this game, even if you aren't a fan of the show. You feel like you are in the game and will have fun playing this game to your hearts content.
You play as the role of Buffy, a vampire slayer. The one girl in all the world to even out the odds against the evils of the world. You are set out in Sunnydale, where you must work your way through the puzzles. Although, the games puzzles doesn't make you feel like you in one humungous Resident Evil. The puzzles are laid out so even a simple child could figure the out. Not too hard...but not easy either.
As you start the game, you enter a helpful tutorial. You learn how to jump, dodge, kick, throw, and drive stakes through the heart of vampires. As you progress in the game, you will learn more combos, and attacks. This isn't just a ''kick and punch slayfest'' type of game. Some enemies require special tactics for you to kill them. Such as driving a wooden stake through the heart of a vampire. There are 3 different settings to play on, Easy, Normal, and Hard...Which makes it clear there will be plenty of replayability in the future.
The voices of all the characters...Giles, Willow, Cordelia, Xander, and Angel are done by the original actors. Also, the voice of Buffy is not done by Sarah Michelle Gellar, but I can assure you, you would think she did. The music throughout the game is very mood setting.
The graphics of the game is done perfectly. The characters of the television show is realistic and personifying. Even as you drive a wooden stake through the heart of a vampire, he instantly turns into dust. You also get various weapons such as, hellfire, holy water, shovel and more. You feel like you are actually in the episode itself. The game makes you think and become a hardcore martial-artist. The bosses of the game must be killed in a specific way, not just draining the life bar.
As I said before, this game is one the best I've played for Xbox in a long time. It's a must have. It at least deserves a rental. That is why I am giving this game a 10/10. Thank you for reading this review.
