Dead or Alive 3

"A definite must buy and a game worth your money."

This game is a must have for people who haven't really ever gotten into fighting games and for people who love fighting games. Take it from me. I never played a fighting game before but after I played this for a minute or so I was hooked. The game is probably the best fighting game out on the market right now in my opinion.

Gameplay: 8

This game has a lot to offer. The story mode really takes you in. If your worried about playing it and being bored the next day then your to stressed out my friend. There are plenty of stages to keep you amused for a long time. There are even stages that let you jump down a cliff or fly through a window in a building which is really cool but I'll get into that later. There are also a lot of characters to pick from and may I some are the hottest girl fighters I have ever seen. Going on, you can pick from a story mode, practice your moves which each character has his/her own moves, time mode, tag mode just to name the ones off my head at the moment. There are so many button combinations to use against your opponents that you will never come to end of them by using each character. Oh and there is this really cool thing where you can watch the ending movies after you complete story mode with a character. Each character has his/her own movie going into their life after they have completed the tournaments.

Graphics: 10
What can I say but just this. The graphics are absolutely gorgeous. Flawless! These are some of the best graphics I have ever seen. The settings of the levels really puts you in the mood makes you want to kick some butt. The characters look very good too. No jagged edges. Nothing but nice smooth round curves. Ah no! Now I have to change my shirt. It's drenched in saliva. Back to the review. As I said earlier you can be hurled out of a window from a skyscraper. That is truly amazing. The glass effects look spectacular and when you hit the ground the glass falls with you and you see it just shimmering.

Music & Sound: 9
The music fits the fighting seen. Take for example if your in a run down junky place then you hear this cold and dirty so to speak music. The music fits the settings and characters perfectly.
Sound effects are very good. You hit a stalagmite of ice you hear the ice shatter and the same goes for when you are thrown out of the window and the glass shatters and comes hurling down with you. When you hit the ground or the wall or even the chain linked fence the sound effect fits the picture and it never sounded any better. The voices for the characters are perfect. They are in Japanese and it makes the game tons better in my opinion.

Replay Value: 8
The replay value for one player is ok but having friends over and playing tag team or one against one definitely makes the replay value good. The game does not get boring after you beat it once. You'll want more and more. Believe me. Not again. Ah I'm going to have to do some laundry by the time I'm done with this review.

Overall: 9
This game will keep you occupied for months and you will be amazed at all you can unlock. Some fighting games is just kick, punch bam he's out game over. Not with this. Like I said before this game has so much to offer and you will like it with out a doubt. If you don't like fighting games or you plainly just don't like the game which highly doubt will happen then get it for the scenery ;). But trust me the game is awesome and it is a definite rent or buy for everyone.
