NBA Inside Drive 2003

"A good game but not near the best"

So you're wondering if you should buy NBA Inside Drive 2003, Ill try to help. I play alot of basketball games and I was expecting alot from Inside Drive 2003!

Graphics: I was expecting this game to have the best graphics out of all the basketball games this year but for some strange reason IT DOESNT! The faces are the worst except a couple of people. The jerseys are also bent out of shape when the player isnt even moving, makes me wonder if the equipment manager iron's their jerseys.The only strong point here is that the body shapes of different players resemble their real life counter part. 7/10

Gameplay: The controls are pretty easy to get used to , using generic buttons like ''a'' to pass and ''x'' to shoot. Although I hate the way high voltage made the controls for the replay option feel like a flight sim with inverted controls ... lol. The loading times also suck in this game and for some reason I get a little bit of lag while im playing season. But overall the gamelay isn't all that bad. 8/10

Replay Value: Well , its a sports game with a franchise (season mode and franchise mixed) mode so that should give you enough replay value except it ends after 25 seasons. But if you dont sim any games for the whole 25 seasons it could take you 5 years to beat it :P. The biggest disappointment was that there was no xbox live capabilities! NBA 2K3 has it but the game that Microsoft published doesnt! Wuts up wit dat?!?! 8/10

Sound: I was expecting this game to have horrible commentary but its actually not that bad! The jokes they say arent that funny but neither do the actual sport commentators. Though it doesnt compare to the commentary on NBA 2K3, but thats alright its still good! 9/10

Buy/Rent: I'd say rent, wait for 2004 because this one doesnt have xbox live capabilities, and this years basketball games arent all that good but if you want a fun basketball game that isn't as sim as NBA 2K3 than this is the game to get. Rent

Overall: This game is good but it couldve been much better with xbox live and better graphics. I was expecting both of those and I shut out, but I did get a surprise with good commentary and gameplay! A good game but not worth buying, hopefully Inside Drive 2004 will improve in graphics and XBOX LIVE capabilities! 8/10
