"This game is unreal"

Gameplay:

Unreal Championship controls almost exactly like Halo, so if you're familiar with Halo's controls you should be right at home with Unreal Championship's. In Unreal Championship each gun has two modes of fire, a primary and a secondary. The primary fire is what you would expect the gun to do (launch a rocket with the rocket launcher), and the secondary fire is a more powerful yet slower version of the primary fire (chargeable 3 rocket blast).

There are six modes of gameplay in Unreal Championship:

- Deathmatch
- Team Deathmatch
- Capture the Flag
- Bombing Run (new to the series, a CTF like game with a football like twist)
- Survival (one vs. one action)
- Double Domination (control two points and hold them for ten seconds)

When choosing a gameplay mode in Unreal Championship you will be able to choose to have ''mutators'' on or off. Mutators implement a new rule into the game or spice the game up a bit. Some of my favorite mutators are low gravity and big head mode.

New to the Unreal series is adrenaline. If you collect 100 total adrenaline you will be able to benefit from one of four special abilities. These abilities are Berserk, Invisibility, Agility, and Regeneration. Adrenaline are scattered throughout levels and rewarded to a player after a kill. Adrenaline is a welcome addition to the Unreal series and adds vastly to the gameplay.

Story:

In the campaign mode you will compose a team of six or seven combatants each with different strengths and weaknesses. Some combatants will make for good snipers, others for defending a flag or domination point, and others for simply killing. Once your team is created you will fight other teams to become the number one team in the galaxy. So no, there isn’t any Halo or Zelda story here.

Graphics and Sound:

Unreal Championship's graphics are a lot better than I thought they would be. I mean everything in Unreal Championship looks great especially the water. Play a game with no bots in offline mode. Look around at the environment and you should be very impressed.

I don't think people will realize just how great the music is in Unreal Championship. It's great music to frag to and really pumps you up. A female voice will announce weather you've lost the match, captured the enemy’s flag, etc and that guy from Unreal Tournament will tell you if you've got a headshot or a double kill. The set taunts in the game will sound different from character to character. That means that if you taunt someone using the alien freak it will sound different then if you did it with the robot. (Note: I am referring to the set taunts in the game. Your voice online will sound like you unless you have a voice mask on.)

Replay Value:

Unreal Championship boasts TONS of replay value. With online play, downloadable content, and system link you'll want to keep this bad boy for a long time.

To buy or to rent:

If you have Xbox live or use system link I’d buy Unreal Championship. If you can't go online or don't have system link I'd rent Unreal Championship and buy a different fps.

Pros and Cons:

Pros:
- EXTREMELY fun to play online
- Cool looking weapons with two modes of fire each
- Each character is unique in Unreal Championship. Each has different starting weapons, speeds, and amounts of health.
- System link play
- Downloadable content
- Completely customizable controls

Cons:
- Runs at 30 fps
- Gets boring fast in offline mode
- Interface could have been better
