"Worst fighting game I've ever played"

Put simply: Don't waste your time. This game may have done well a few years ago, but only because of it's graphics. The graphics are half decent in places but there are still areas to be improved upon. In a world with Tekken, Mortal Kombat, DOA and Virtua fighter, this game doesn't stand a chance.

Gameplay: Very dull. Nothing new. It's the most mindless fighting game, and it's not even fun to beat up on the computer. It has variable difficulty settings, I didn't bother trying anything other than normal. It was no harder than any arcade fighting game I've played. The controls easy enough, similar to other fighting games. Mortal Kombat has fatalities. DOA's got beautiful graphics and multi-layered environments and a cool move reversal system. Tekken... Well tekken is just fun with cool characters. This game is like DOA minus the great graphics the multi-layered environments, the girls, the innovative gameplay, and then multiply the crap factor by 27. This is Kakuto Chojin.

Story: Well it's a fighting game, so no one goes in expecting much. Each character has their own individual background and story. Not that most people playing fighting games read these anyway. Generally they just want to learn the cool moves and combos and kick some butt!

Audio/Video: Neither were special. I don't remember any of the audio but I didn't turn it off so it wasn't awful. Actually it was neat how the characters spoke in their own language. A minor detail. Now the graphics: The character animations are good. But that's about it. The fighting arenas are boring and I didn't see any cool cinematics. Although everything is smooth and pretty, it's empty and lacking cool details.

Replayability: Well I didn't bother beating it once. If you've done everything in every other fighting game, then you might want to beat it with different characters. But it was so boring I can't imagine anyone putting themselves through that.

Rent or buy: I wouldn't even waste my $5 renting this. I would rather rent a puzzle game (which I'm not a big fan of) than this. Definitely DO NOT buy!!! If you think it maybe good despite this review, definitely rent it first.

In closing, all this game has got going for it is a matrix camera rotation of the last hit of a fight. Call me picky, but that's just not enough to put this game up with the other fighting games. If you're looking for a fighter then I recommend Tekken or DOA.
