James Bond 007: NightFire
Review by devilsminion
"007 at his finest, NightFire"
The Game,
Well if you are reading this you know the general idea you are a secret agent. Q develops high tech gizmos for you to accomplish your missions. So what is new a lot. You have a whole new arsenal of weapons at your disposal as well as the usual gadgets with some extras. Of course the car missions are here and they are fantastic incredible play similar to a racer. If I could only add one improvement it would be with the AI of the ememies this is something of a negative but does not hurt to badly the overall feel of the game. There are a good number of missions and as well probably the best multi player ever.
The Graphics,
The graphics are the best in the bond series toppling Agent Under Fire. James has the face of Pierce Brosman or whatever his name is adding a needed realism for Bond. The game runs steady at 60 fps with no lock ups I noticed at all and is just sweet to look at it. Everything is well done the surroundings are destructible (most). The car scenes are very well done a sense of speed is easily achieved while driving. There are the rail types where you do the shooting and the game takes a predetermined path which kinda of bites but well what can you do.
Sound,
The sound is done excellent all weapons sound superb and the enemies talk in there own language, Russian and whatever of course being on X-Box it's in 5.1 which just adds more to the great sound. The car sounds like a car the character voices are all well done as well.
Game Play,
Well let's start with single player. Bond is a FPS mainly with the addition of a car missions and missions where you are manning the posts on vehicles. The best part of this game is the multiplayer since the GoldenEye days Bond games have been known for there superb multiplayer. Death matches capture the falg etc and this time the introduction of bots for single player multi player now isn't that an oxymoron.
Replayability,
Well this is the strong part of the Bond games as even GoldenEye would be still enjoyable in multiplayer but now with bots it's even funner. The missions are fun and have good depth so either way this game is done well and worthy of at least a rental and if you enjoy multiplayer you will definitely want to pick this up.
Overall,
EA did a better job the AUF and deserves credit for revamping keeping Bond alive and well. This is an excellent all around game shows off the X-Boxes graphics and the 5.1 really adds oomph.
