"This is supposed to be...fun?"
Okay, first of all, I did play this game and I KIND of liked it at first, because i was playing on XBL, but without XBL, this game is complete crap! There is a game similar to this called ''Cel Damage'', and it got a much lower rating then this game...I do not know why, but they should've just tried to put Cel Damage Live instead of wasting their time on this!
Graphics: 7/10
Okay, the graphics are ALRIGHT, but they could've been a lot better! In some of the arena's it is very hard to see where the characters are, as it is dull and the background stands out way too much which overtakes the graphics of the character itself. They could've made the characters more appealing, and left detail out on the backgrounds, because it just creates a nasty clash. I do however respect the graphics of the weapons, because they are well made and you can easily tell them apart. There is one problem however. There is a weapon in the shape of a star. When you throw all five of those weapons, they scatter around and explode when an enemy steps on them. I really do not know why they didn't make the actual weapon star that you can pick up different looking from the exploding star that you throw around. It might've been so that it's confusing to the player so that they take risks, and yes I agree, they wanted to make it really confusing to the player!!
Gameplay: 6/10
The gameplay score for this varies because if you are playing this game alone, you will get bored of it and turn off your xbox and pray you never have to play this game again. But on the other hand if you have Xbox Live, you can play this game and you probably won't get bored of it for...umm...let's say 20 minutes? Xbox Live is the only reason Whacked!'s gameplay is up at an 8/10, otherwise I would've left it at around a 4/10. There are a few modes however in which you can play, and they do allow you to do certain things like unlock characters blah blah blah. Just the basics I guess.
Story: 4/10
The story really bugs me. It is an exact copy of the story of Cel Damage, which is a game that I truly respected, because you couldn't get bored even after playing for a couple of hours! They copied the idea of a TV/Game show for the story and who the contestants will be, which is kinda dull if you ask me. Personally, I do not like repeats and rip offs of games, so I would leave this game in the store if you ask me, unless you can find it for $20 CANADIAN!
Replay Value: 2/10
Really, even with Xbox Live, you will get tired of this game. If you don't have Xbox Live, I can picture you throwing this game onto your shelf besides other bad games, and letting dust crawl all over it. Once you beat this (if you waste that much time beating it), you will not want to play again. Just stick with the demo on this one, do not go out and buy the full version.
Overall: 4.75/10 = 5/10
I would recommend not to purchase this game, and if you look at my other reviews, you will see that I do not bash games, but I do give them the score that they deserve. This deserves a 5/10, so that's what I gave it. I would truly recommend to go buy Cel Damage for $15 CANADIAN, because even without Xbox Live, it is a lot more fun. Just a suggestion!
