SSX Tricky
Review by Xboxgamer542
"Best Snowboarding game on Xbox, superior to the PS2 version"
SSX was released somewhere in 2000 for the Playstation 2. Everyone played it and loved it. Later, I saw the commercial for SSX Tricky, and said: ''Well that looks so stupid.'' Soon, I found out the Xbox version was to be released. My mind changed quickly.
SSX Tricky has to be the most underrated game on the Xbox. It has excellent grahpics, funny charactes, awesome moves, and great sound.
The graphics on SSX Tricky are excellent. The characters are highly detailed, and very very colorful. The courses are well designed and in full 3-D. The snow looks realistic, as well as the colorful jumps will bring joy to your eyes. I am very pleased to say I would give SSX Tricky a 9/10 in the graphics section.
The sound in SSX Tricky is exceptional. The classic song ''It's Tricky'' was remade and remixed, and it never gets old. Not the music, but the sound is what shines. Riders trash talk, brag about tricks, and have good sounds when they push. I can't say how well the sound was done. You have to play it to believe it. I give the sound a perfect 10/10.
The gameplay in SSX Tricky is also strong. There are about 10-12 riders to use after you unlock all, and almost 12 courses. There are two main modes of gameplay, race and show-off. Race is a competition against 7 other racers, and it's one brutal and rough race. Riders can push other riders and boost to get ahead. There are a huge variety of tricks to do, and they are quite unrealistic, though fun. After players get their boost all the way up, they are able to do specials called ''oobers.'' There are a variety to do, and awesome to see. Show off is the other main mode. You do all the tricks you can, getting the most points. I give the gameplay a 10/10.
The replay and length is long. You will want to play the tracks over and over to try to get the secret riders. The championship mode is so long and challenging, you'll be playing for a long time. I give the replay a 8/10.
If you like snowboarding, or had the least bit intrest in fantasy tricks, don't hesitate to buy this game. It is very underrated and so much fun. THIS is what a perfect game is. 10/10
