Enclave
Review by devilsminion
"An adventure awaits you, one of danger and adventure."
The Game:
You start the game as a captured prisoner jailed for helping people who were unable to pay there taxes. You have to escape the jail and make your way to freedom the only thing stopping you are enemies and the falling jail. The plot is one where there was a great battle and the earth was ripped and a great rift was formed separating the two enemies however the rift is closing and the time is drawing near when the battle will begin again.
The Graphics:
Enclave is a game that highlights the power of the X-Box. You have to views to choose from which I think is an excellent idea. You can choose FPS view or 3rd person view. The lighting the shadowing is truly a work of art. The game is colorful and very much ''eye candy''. The game has a solid fps with no lock ups I have seen yet. The game is truly remarkable as far a presentation goes and I feel is a very under rated game. However there are some times where glitches occur where you will go into a wall. The addition of bump mapping would have made this game brilliant. The blood is cool and the arrows protrude from the one your shooting making it great fun.
The Sound:
The sound in the game is done well. The 5.1 dolby makes this game so real. You hear the sounds of the clashing swords the swish of the arrows. The deep, deep rumble of the earth quaking is awesome. The voices of the characters are done well as well and are not the generic ones you normally hear.
The Game Play:
The game is a RPG/Adventure where you go about your missions and collect gold to improve your weapons and armour. As you progress through the levels different characters become available. After the first mission you have the option of the huntress who is nimble and is a bow expert but not a great in close combat. As you progress different characters also sometimes aid you in your quests. After you complete the light campaign you have the option of doing the dark campaign being evil is such fun. The game is real time combat.
Replayability:
Enclave is a fun and lengthy adventure that has many missions. There is no multi player which was a much missed feature that was supposed to be. However with the addition of the dark and light campaigns and the fact the game is fairly lengthy there is much here to keep you occupied for some time.
Over All:
Enclave is not all that it was supposed to be but still is a great game none the less. If you like medieval adventures that are full of action and magic this is the game for you. There is alot of adventure to be had especially with the reduced price. I think it is an excellent buy.
