Enclave
Review by Steve06
"Thinking about Enclave? READ THIS!!"
Very few people read reviews about a game for a purpose other than trying to figure out if they would like to purchase it or not. I intend to affect your decision in some way.
First off. The basics for Enclave. This is an action/adventure game where you, a great warrior, chooses one of 6 unique classes and saves or destroys the nice little world of this game. This game is not open-ended, you should know that. Yet it is set levels of specific length and specific discoveries of gold and other objects to come of use to you in your quest.
This is no Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, yet if that is your genre give this game a gander. It comes together more like a Lord of the Rings kind of: choose level, choose character, choose weapons, beat set level, die and try again, or win yet not collect everything, or win and collect everything so the frustrating level will not be looked at again.
GAMEPLAY:
Gameplay is without a doubt the most important aspect of game. This is everything as every gamer should know. Graphics, sound and whatever just adds to the overall gameplay. If any time is spent not expanding on this key component for other purposes then the developers need to rethink their approach of their gaming style. If I still have your attention up to this point, you should know the gameplay of this game is quite exceptional. Controls are fine, no hours of getting used to. Many options are added to your character's actions to do with them anything a warrior would do to himself. Many reviewers who just despise this game and wish not to tell you the truth will say this game is the basis of all hack-and-slash games. This is not true, many aspects of the game aid in trying to push it away from such a specific genre. Magic of course is added, and are bows and other weapons that aren't so similar to an axe or sword to be used in such a fashion. I believe that this part of the game is much more important than anything else in the game.
Ok, shortened version here of the gameplay. Enclave does well at being a unique hack-and-slash game unique all the rest. The unlocking and choice of many unique and great characters make it a good game. New weapons after each level too. Also, just the overall feeling you get knowing that all the precious gold you found so difficultly can be used for each character and always comes back to even after you bought and used swords, arrows, etc. Of course the fact that each level can be played again to collect and unlock everything makes the frustration less common. The only reason this is not a 10/10 is because of saving. I'm no wuss, I accept a death and am willing to play the entire level again, yet I just don't about you specifically. Most people like you don't enjoy the fact that mild slip-ups can send you to quick fate and forces you to play the entire level again no matter where you are.
GAMEPLAY OF THIS GAME GETS A 9/10
GRAPHICS:
Not too important compared to gameplay, but hey, so many people like you seem to care so much about the beauty of a game. Let me tell you something, watch Shallow Hal, if you understand it well enough you may rethink your feelings towards the necessity of good graphics. To tell you the truth though, if I cared that much about it as you do, I would still be happy with this beautiful game. Details aren't necessary for an epic adventure, yet they are there, and you may just appreciate them.

STORY:
Good story. You'll like it. I sure did. Just ask yourself, how important is a good storyline? Not that much, the story can be horrid yet the gameplay can be the best ever, and you know the game would still look appetizing. None the less it is pretty interesting to listen to everything going on in this unique world.

SOUND:
Who cares is what I say to this. Nonetheless again the sound is rather good. You aren't exactly in the middle of the battle, but who really cares about that. The music doesn't get boring, the voices are understandable even without the added subtitles, and there is no annoying repetition. Yet once again the sound is not too bad if that is all you care about.

FINAL WORD:
Ok first of all, do what you want. I truly tried to help you, but if you think I'm too weird of a reviewer, then I don't care what you do in the least.
Hey, from a friend to a friend. This is not a bad game. Buy it. For one, it is incredibly cheap, I mean, go ahead and sell your turds and get enough cash to pay for this adventure. For another, the gameplay is great. And if you haven't heard yet from me, that is the most important aspect of a game. Seriously, take out entirely one of the other aspects and it can still be incredible. Take out gameplay and what do you have? A movie? Yep that's it.
Buy this game. You'll enjoy it. If you play it enough you'll have an honest month of pondering about it and playing it constantly. Up to you.
Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind was a great game. I loved it more than any other game ever (because of its gameplay). Enclave doesn't come close to treading on Morrowind's heels, but it is still a fun amount of time to put in a game.
DO WHAT YOU WANT. BUT I STILL SUGGEST FOR YOU TO:
Buy it.
