Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb
Review by Heartless16
"Another Great Chapter in the Indiana Jones Series!"
I'm a big Indiana Jones fan, so when I heard that a new game was being developed, I was excited. I picked up the demo, and loved it, so I went out and bought the full version. I wasn't disappointed. Within minutes, you'll be solving puzzles, beating bad guys, and of course, humming the classic theme song. I'd love to see this game made into a movie.
Introduction
You play as Indiana Jones, (obviously) on a quest to find the Emperors Tomb. Along the way, you solve puzzles, beat the bad guys, and have a ton of fun doing it. Game play is a lot like Buffy for X-Box, and it looks good too.
Graphics
The character models look good, as do the background environments. Indy looks great. A great amount of detail has gone in to make sure fans of the series aren't disappointed. Some of the textures could use some work, but it doesn't take away from the total experience.
Controls
Fans of Buffy the Vampire Slayer for X-Box will find that Indiana Jones has similar controls. It's fairly easy to control Indy, and you'll learn the ropes quick. It may be a bit confusing to some, but most will pick it up. Changing between objects can be tricky at times, but you get used to it after a while.
Replay Value
Indiana Jones is a lengthy quest. There are also hidden artifacts to find, which add to the play time. Fans will enjoy looking at all the artifacts. This one is worth the money.
Sound
After playing this game, let me tell you, you will have the classic Indiana Jones theme stuck in your head. Besides that, great sound effects, like the whip and various other tools that Indy uses.
Gameplay
As mentioned before, if you've played Buffy for X-Box, you'll feel right at home. Indy can battle enemies with various objects, weapons, or his fists. Some may compare it to Tomb Raider. Using Indy's fists are what make the game so enjoyable. It is very fun laying the ''smackdown'' on baddies.
Overall
Overall, Indiana Jones is another solid title for the X-Box. While it is not for everyone, if you're looking for a fun, enjoyable action game, give it a rent. If you're then satisfied with it, pick it up. A great addition to the Indiana Jones series.
Recommendations
If you like Indiana Jones, here are some other games that you may enjoy: Buffy the Vampire Slyer, Tomb Raider, and any other action/adventure game out for the X-Box.
