Kung Fu Chaos

"You are going to read my review! This is as it should be!"
Your reading of this review makes my belly fat and happy. I must inform you that not only is KFC a delicious chicken-like substance dispensery, it is also a game filled with fun and ninjaness.
It's like some sort of super violent amalgam of Mario-Party and Powerstone. There graphics are great and even contain that spiffy ''grain'' effect like in old movies (this can be turned off after unlocking it). The characters are all parodies of characters in those old Kung-Fu flicks (some may recognize Chop&Styx as a parody of Lone Wolf&Cub). You can choose from 6 characters at the begining and unlock 3 more by completing various feats of kung-fu fury.
The sound is great, with your characters unleashing various witty quips at opportune times (but mostly during taunts). The director, Shao Ting, also comments and directs your action throughout the battle. There are plenty of modes of play, and both single player and multiplayer offer a lot of fun (bots included, for those with no friends or with friends who do not want thier asses kicked).
The single player experience is the ''Ninja Challange''. Take your character through a crappy kung-fu flick defeating ninjas, bosses and playing an assortment of mini-games. The more ninjas you whack, the higher your star rating. The more stars you get, the more stuff you unlock. In multiplayer we have various modes like Freestyle (''do whatever the hell you want''), Battle game, and Championship. The Ninja Challange is actually fairly difficult and it'll take you a while to get 5 stars on all the stages, and the action is fast and fun in Multiplayer.
The combat is suprisingly deep for a game like this. You've got three attack buttons, jump, block and taunt. You can use a normal attack, quick attack or an unblockable trip attack. Be wary though, your opponent can spot the trip coming and counter before you can strike so it's best used against a blocking opponent. If you knock your opponent down you can taunt them to gain a glowing ball of power. Three glowing balls lets you unleash your super move, killing anyone in it's way instantly. You can fight for kills, mojo, style or last man standing.
There are a ton of extra features, too. You can view replays of your battles complete with cool camera angles, grain and director commentary. You can also unlock extra costumes, character bio's and check out island mode or saved replays. Kung Fu Chaos is definately a great game. I highly reccomend it.
Your Kung-Fu is no match for my Kung-Fu! Questions?
