"Man this game is sweet"

At first look of Moto GP you would probably think this is just an average motorcycle racing game. But it is better then that. This game is incredible.

In this game you are put against many world-class racers like Kenny Roberts and Valentino Rossi al from the actual 2001 Moto GP 500cc series.

You get to play in tracks like Philip Island (Austria), Sachsenring (Germany) and Mugello (Italy).

All of this with Ultra realistic graphics it makes for an amazing experience

Control

This game is a has quite easy controls. Just your basic driving there. Front brakes, back brakes just adds to the experience. Because there so realistic. And for experts you can even do power slides. Which all help during the race.

The tricks in this game are simple with a wheelies just being pulling back on the joy stick. You can also do Endos and doughnuts nothing really interesting for the trick bike type of person, but this game is a racing game, not a trick game so it doesn’t matter.

Graphics

The graphics in this game are absolutely amazing. Beautiful skies, grass, roads, etc. the bikes are also incredibly detailed with lots of lighting and bump mapping. But the rain is when this game really. Not only can you see the rain from the sky. You can also see all the rain coming off the bikes tires spraying behind them, hitting other bikes and your screen. Seeing 16 bikes doing it all at the same time is quite a sight. All this makes it a incredible experience.

Sound

All you basic motorbike sound. Engine running, bike tires screeching, bike flipping through the air and smashing onto the road.

You also have music in the game playing while your racing. Moto GP has all your basic techno type song that all racers seem to have. But what is good is you can use your custom soundtrack, which means you can use your own music that you saved onto you XBOX. Which is great.

Game modes

This game also has many different game modes…..

Single Player

For single player you have……

Grand Prix Series, which is a tournament going through all the tracks getting points for different places.

Arcade Championship, which is like Grand Prix Series but you get points for doing trick. Which is fun but like I said above their aren’t to many tricks to choose from. But getting points will open many unlockables

Custom bike, This is where you make your own bike and go through training and Grand Prix Series to get attribute points to put on your bike.

Time trial, which is just finding out what your best lap time is on a track.

Multiplayer

Quick race, which is just a plain old race with friends.

Tag, which is go around to certain sections around the track, and try to get the best time on that part. While others are trying to beat it.

Stunt ,which is basically like Arcade championship but changed slightly for multiplayer use.

Multiplayer game types

4 vs. 4 = 2 to 4 people racing via split screen.

System link = 2 to 16 people playing on 2 to 4 XBOXes and TVs .

XBOX LIVE= this is were the game is the best. Up to 16 people can play against each other over the internet. You are able to talk to everyone using you microphones and earphones that come with XBOX LIVE. Play through all of the tracks and multiplayer modes. You can even use your custom bike, and if you’re the host you can put on unlockables for everyone to use. And then you even get ranked against players around the world.

Rusty’s final thought: This game is great. With it many game modes and unlockables I would advise anyone with an XBOX and/or XBOX LIVE to get this game.
