Review by OvershotToast

"The most under-hyped, under-rated game ever."

I got this game for 2 reasons, one being that I like beat'em up/adventure games, and two being its Indy Jones. This game looked cool in the OXM magazine demo, so I figured I'd check into it. I had to choose between this game and Splinter Cell, and I do believe I made the right choice....

NOTE: I'm not saying I hated Splinter Cell, it just wasen't my cup of tea, so to speak.

Sound 8
The music in the game is great. I didn't think that they would actually use the movie themes, but low and behold, they did. I also like the voice acting. It's not Harrison Ford, but it works, none the less. On gripe I did have is when you get to the frustrating areas of the game, the music will get a little repetitive, driving you insane after a few hours.

Control 7
Controls are pretty solid here, but the one thing is definitely, DEFINITELY do not use the original controller if you can help it. I had to switch to a controller s just because of all of the buttons you need to press. I also thought that the items menu was too confusing. You have to hit a button to bring it up, cycle through the menu till you find the item you want, then hit another button. Then you have to hit yet another button to use it. Oh well, no game is perfect.

Graphics 8
The graphics look quite clean, but every now and then, you can see some blocky, smudged textures. Its not enough to keep me from buying or playing the game, but it does look trashy every now and then. It reminds me of the PS2 in some games, but thats another story.

Replayability 4
I don't think I'd want to go all the way back through this game again, just for all of the time i poured into beating it. It is fun, but not worth the trouble, as beating it on harder modes unlocks NOTHING. You heard me, it unlocks nothing.

Buy or Rent?
Definitely rent, but chances are, if you do rent it, you will want to buy it. I didn't even rent it, as I have a subscription to OXM and the demo was on the disc the one month. But definitely rent it first.
Overall 9
A solid fighting game with a few blocky textures, but great music and definitely worth a rent. Check it out, why don't ya???
