Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Tides of War
Review by I Like Eating Food
"Best X-Box Live Game so far"
This game is a very fun game with or without X-Box Live and I've had very fun playing it so far.
The Multiplayer is magnificent. You can pick from a few modes. You use a lot of strategy and usually should have your team balanced on Classes. The Medic heals (no way!), the Engineer plants dynamite, Solider kills stuff, Lieutenant gives ammo to other members. In Elimination mode its like a Team Deathmatch, you just go around and kill. In objective you do objective, the mission vary's from each level, in one you have to bomb a ship, another you destroy war documents...ect...
Graphics: 8/10
The graphics in this game are good, but they aren't putting the Xbox to its full potential. Remember, graphics aren't what makes a game. They still beat a lot of other games though.
Gameplay: 10/10
What isn't fun about running around killing Nazi's??? Its basically a tactical shooter. You have around 6 guns to chose from on the Allies and Axis teams. Most guns are the same except the Rifles, and Pistol.
Sounds: 9/10
Nice sounds. When an explosion happens, the sound happens. When you fire a bullet, you can hear it. Beautifully done.
Story: 10/10
Very unsuspecting from a FPS. Amazing Single Player, its only around 7-8 hours long though.
Controls: 9/10
Kinda iffy at first with the way you change weapons and the jump, but in a few minutes you'll be okay.
Multiplayer: 10/10
Here is the games most strongest points. In multiplayer you play on Xbox Live, System Link, or Co-op. With Xbox Live you can play with 15 other players in the same game. There are different modes of play you can chose from. They are all very fun and tactical. Voice is a MUST for playing this game online. System Link is about the same as Xbox Live, except its just you and the other people on the other Xboxes. Co-Op is Single Player, only levels you completed and you cannot save. On Xbox Live there are scoreboards where you can compete to be number one and have major bragging rights about how you are the best. I think multiplayer is extremely addicting and fun and is the reason to buy this. The only downsides to Multiplayer is that most servers aren't Dedicated. A lot of servers are laggy, but there are some great 16 player servers out there, so don't worry about it.
Overall (not an average): 10/10
This game is WELL worth the $50 that it costs. It is very fun online and offline. There are many types of maps you can play online and many fun people to play with. You'll never be bored!
