"I.D. has done it again"

A great game that is very worth your while, especially if you have xbox live. This game has many features that will keep you entertained for quite some time. The single player is excellent and challenging, and lets you play with a friend. The multiplayer is by far the best I’ve ever seen, or experienced.

Graphics: 9/10
While RTCW’s graphics are amazing, they are not the best out there. That is about my only problem with the graphics, except for the drop in frame rate when playing cooperative. Over all this game looks good, especially the online play, which is faster and better looking than the pc version.

Game play: 10/10
Wolfenstein’s game play is excellent, and possibly better than any other shooter on the market right now. The single player is fun, many times over. This game will take you a while to get bored of. My only disappointment with the game play was not being able to use chairs as shields, as you could in the original RTCW.

Multiplayer: 10/10
This is the most amazing part of RTCW: Tides of war. Being able to choose from 4 different classes, and numerous weapons, give multiplayer a whole new meaning. There are 4 different game types, that’s 3 more than the original RTCW. You choose a class, (lieutenant, medic, engineer, or soldier) and a side (allies or axis), and head out to capture, blow up, or hold and objective. This is what really makes this game shine. The cooperative is great as well. Being able to really strategize completely changes the game. The only problem with this mode is you can’t unlock any new levels, or save as you go along.

Sound: 8/10
This is Tides of war’s weak point. They didn’t spend as long on the sound for this game, than the original RTCW. The weapons have new sounds, some of which sound much better, but the distance effects are no more.

Replayability: 9/10
Playing this game over never gets boring. The enemies do something different every time. Replaying the game gives you a chance to find all of those valuable treasures and secret areas.

Story: 9/10
A very solid storyline, and was written well. The only beef I have with this part of the game is the undead creatures, like zombies and such. Over all this story is enthralling, and makes you want to keep playing until your done the game.

Overall: 9/10
This game is excellent, the best one out there for the xbox, and is well worth the $70 Canadian.
