The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
Review by Halo131
"A great game. So much like the movie it's incredible."
This is an awesome game for all those who have seen the movie. Even for those who haven't, it is still a great game.
Gameplay - The most important part of this game is how close it is to the movie. It makes you feel like you are there and you do things your way. This game was hard for me, but I am not the best game player in the world. Overall, I would say it is probably about average in difficulty, unless you are playing on the hardest setting. The controls are easy to learn, but the view can get a little annoying. Also, the combos are all the same for each character and are sometimes hard to execute. Gameplay: 9/10
Story - This is definitely one of the best parts of the game. I love the fact that it is so close to the movies. Each cutscene features an actual clip from either the Fellowship or the Two Towers. You start out playing the intro to the first movie. you are Isildur and you learn the basic controls. From there, you go directly to Weathertop and play as Aragorn. Then the game really starts. From here, you get to choose your character: Legolas (Fast with eventual deadly arrows), Gimli (Slow, but with lots of health and powerful attacks), or Aragorn (Kind of a mix between Legolas and Gimli, an all around player that is best to start out with). Now you fight your way through the first and second movies and after each level, you get experience points to purchase upgrades and combos. After achieving certain levels with certain characters, you unlock certain things. These are really cool interviews with the actors from the movies talking about the game. I love that part. An excellent story with excellent design.
Story: 10/10
Graphics - Hey, it's an X-Box game, what do you expect? Of course the graphics are great. In fact, these graphics are better than a lot of other X-Box games. I have to admit, the faces on the characters look kind of odd, but the fighting scenes and cutscenes are unbelievable.
Graphics: 9/10
Sound - One of the most unique features of this game is the sound. It has the actors from the movie performing each voice. True, the lines they say are a little corny sometimes, but you can't ask for more as far as the voices are concerned. As in most games, the music comes in when you face a boss or a particularly hard part of a level. Also, as in most games, it really gets your blood pumping when you hear it. A+ work on the sound.
Sound: 10/10
Replay value - This game is great to replay. Once you have beaten the game, you can beat each level with each character, or get a rating of ''perfect'' on each level, or or go back and use the secret codes they give you at the end... There are many things to do, but after you have done all of those things and more, it might get a little boring. So, just lend it to a friend or forget about it for a while, then go back and play it again.
Replay Value: 10/10
Rent or Buy - Definitely buy this game! It is well worth it.
