"I am one man you don't want to make angry, and one game you want to play"

The Hulk, the hulk has been with us from the comic books and a weekly t.v. series that brought Lou Ferogino some fame. The story is about a scientest Bruce Banner who during research infects himself with gamma radiation that when he gets angry transform him into the hulk a raging green guy with a whole lot of anger. The Hulk is soon to be a movie release this summer.

The Game:

Your only goal since becoming infected by the gamma radiation is to find a cure. You lost your wife and family and are wanted by the army and authorities. There are a few obstacles in your path a few bad guys an army you know the general stuff that wants you stopped. As Bruce you have stealth and intelligence with the Hulk you have raw brute power. You will have to master the two in order to find your goal to be yourself again.

The Graphics:

The Hulk is extremely easy to look at it. The graphics are done in a cartoon style effect that really give you the sense you are playing a comic book. The Hulk looks like the Terminator on Steroids. Your enemies besides the soldiers are really well done. You come across alpha dogs that look like a pit bull on steroids with jaws that are three feet wide. You will come across certain bosses like half life that have weaknesses that you have to exploit. The game does have the odd camera angle problem. It uses a ''smart camera'' that is supposed to follow the action however there will be more than one time you go running towards the shot to find out who's shooting.
The best part of this area is that wherever the hulk goes there is a tell tale sign of destruction. When the Hulk jumps and comes crashes down the ground looks as if a bomb struck.

The Controls:

The game incorparates x and y as the punch and combo attacks. Sounds pretty simple but there are numerous combinations that result in different types of attacks. There is also the b that is your grapple where you can pick up and slam your enemey, through him into next week or give him a few slaps and a head butt. The only real problem is not allowing the free moving camera, I think every game should use these features they have tried over and over to perfect a ''smart camera'' it dosen't work. You go into rage mode when your anger level reaches a peak each hit causes more damage and allows extra attacks normally not available.

The Sound:

Well the Hulk sounds just like the hulk should big mean and nasty. The music in the game is quite adequate nothing you need to worry as GOTY material but quite good. The voice overs are top notch, really well done. Where this game really excels is in the destruction everything makes it's uniques sound.

The Game Play:

At first I wasn't expecting much, most of the movie to games weren't as good as one hoped. This game suprised me, not only was this game fun and easy to play it really gives you a good story. The game works well the controls are quick to learn but enough variables to make you learn them. Your basic idea is to go from point ''a'' to point ''b'' as either Bruce or as the Hulk. As you can guess with Bruce the idea is stealth with the Hulk the idea is Wham Bam thank you for playing. There are many, many unlockables that will make this game last a while, there is also extra modes besides the story to keep you playing. The Hulk is a great pick up and play game that is sure to pleas anyone with a destructive side to them.

Over All:

The Hulk is a decent suprise with the game to movie genre. The Hulk is fun to play and would have got a 9 at least if it would have used the right thumbstick as the camera but as it is it's an easy 8 that any Hulk fans will have to add to there colections.

A easy buy!! in fact pass on Enter the Matrix as this one would last you longer and probably be more fun.
