Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter

"Best starwars game Ive plated yet."

I found this game to be very interesting. I normally turn away anytime someone says Star Wars but when I received this game from a friend, I was amazed at myself for being so judgemental.It turns out that in this game the entire time your are in one of two fighters. Its definitely not your average Starwars game.

Gameplay 9/10
This game is kind of hard to get used to at first because of the different controls.( Like boost, brake, all different maneuvers, and the ever famous forces )It takes awhile to memorize them but once you have them down you'll be taking down 6 enemies at a time. The game is set up so that even while in your ship, you have the ability to use your force powers against enemy fighter, or large carrier ships. The other ship you use about every level has more forceful abilities. Such as: a bombardment of missiles or space mines. Both are really neat and add to the gameplay.

Story 8/10
You start out training with this friendly AI and he guides you for about 8 minutes through all the controls. After a while as the story progresses, you find out that some evil is trying transport deadly weapons and you can't let that happen. Well, you eventually meet up with three people who will help you stop the evil dude, and in some levels you get to control one of the three people. Its really cool if you're into starwars but its still pretty good if you're not.

Graphics 9/10
The ship you originally start out piloting is pretty cool. It looks like some thing right out of the movies. Once you learn your jedi forces for your ship, the destruction you can do looks pretty awesome too. There is one force that lets you slow time while you stay at the same speed. That just looks amazing. Over time you will encounter one or two noticeable mistakes but its not very often.

Sound 10/10
The sound is very real in this game especially when you go flying by an enemy inches away from their hull. The forces and other weapons sound just as you would imagine they should.I did not find any flaws in this area.

Multi-player 8/10
The levels for multi-player aren't the easiest to unlock so I only 2 unlocked. They aren't the most fun levels but flying around with your buddy is always fun to me. If you can get enough levels unlocked, I'm sure it would be great.

Buy or Rent
I always tell my viewers to rent unless there is almost no flaws or if its game with everything in it and those don't come around to often. So just rent it unless you just love flying or Star Wars type games.
