"There is not many games this bad"

Before I start this review I’m going to admit something. There are a lot of bad games out there. Most gamers would agree with me, in the fact movie licensed games don’t seem to make good games. But there usually is a line of how horrible a game can be. This game surpasses it.

Graphics

Ok I’m going to start this review at a high point. I would be the first to say the graphics are amazing. Every small detail has textures. Hell the textures have textures on them. All the teeth on Sheks’s face is a separate. Eyes blink, all full of eyelashes . His white shirt even has stitching and rips on them if you zoom in. Which quite frankly amazing. Unfortunately graphics aren’t all that matters in games.

Sound

Well the sound wasn’t bad. Some ok music, some was absolutely horrible, but there was some good aspects in the sound. Sound effects weren’t bad either. You hear noises that you would aspect to hear from shrek. There’s also some good fart and burp noises, which is all good..

Story

As far as I can tell there’s not much of a story. It hardly has anything to do with the movie. Most of the resemblances is in characters. Which is a pity because the movie’s story was wicked cool.

Control

Not only were the controls horrible, but there was a bit of wait between you pressing a button or moving joystick, and the actual action. Which really bothered me because there is places were you need quick reflexes, and having controls that have a pause before they work isn‘t good for that.

Game play

The game play is kinda random. Kill an bad guy fart on another. One thing I loved was the fact you could light your farts, which is my favorite part of the game.

Level Design

Mainly all the levels are small, and all the rooms are small. There’s no really open place like a field in this game. All the levels have basically the same idea. Do 6 objectives in each level. And most of them are so amazingly simply you would have to be brain dead and blindfolded at the same time. You chose your levels basically the same way you choose on Mario 64. Which is cool.

Game Modes

What bugs me is there is only really two. The adventure mode, and Race mode which you have to unlock. Nither is multiplayer. Which makes this game very lonely. I think multiplayer would have added some enjoyment to this game,

Rusty’s final thought: Ok I can’t say I would advise this game to anyone simply because its just that bad. No multiplayer no fun single player makes rusty go crazy. Anyway I will be forever pissed off because of this game, because I was really looking forward to it. Pity.
