Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Tides of War

"Halo vs Tyson... i mean Return to Castle Wolfenstein"

Does anyone remember Wolfenstein? Porbably not. Wolfenstein started the whole 1st person shooter thing, although Doom gets all the credit. Wolfenstein was the original game that put you in the eyes of an OSA agent(B.J. Blaskowicz) and you basically killed nazis, that was it. Then Wolfenstien 3d came along with a new storyline and new nazis along with a few monsters. About 15 years later, Return to Castle Wolfenstein was released on the P.C. Consoles gamers cried and moaned until one day, ID software announced that it would release Return to Castle Wolfenstein on the PS2 and X-Box. This is where i come in.

Storyline: 10/10
You are once again pitted in the role of B.J. Blaskowicz, he and Agent 1(cheesey name, I know)are sent to egypt to uncover some mysteries. There is rumor of a paranormal scientific division within the Third Reich. The OSA wants info. I really think i should stop there because just like Halo, I think that RtCW is ran on both story and gameplay.

FunFactor/Gameplay: 10/10
Finally a game on the X-Box that rivals Halo. I will admit that Halo spoiled me in the 1st person shooter genre. I only played Timesplitters 2 a little, but it wasn't enough for me. Then this nice little package came out! RtCW is the best 1st person shooter aside from Halo, actually, in my eyes, it is tied with Halo. YES IT IS THAT GOOD. This game offers everything Halo did aside from the vehicles, but hey you get to kill Nazis and Zombies... at the same time! OH yeah, the multiplayer is great. YOu really need to experience it on your own. You are given 4 jobs to choose from and it IS an Xbox live game. IN YOUR FACE HALO!

Controls: 10/10
Psssst!!! Have you played Halo, or any other 1st person shooter recently... well it is the same darn THING! Controls for the 1st person shooter genre have not changed since Timesplitters 1!!!

Sound: 10/10
The talking of nazis around the next corridor, the footsteps of some huge mechanical goliath around the other! Oh the sound in this game is great. The music speeds up in fire fights and slows down to spook you in certain dungeons or caverns. This game is the main reason to get a Dolby Surround Sound System.

Cool Points: 10/10
-Zombies and Nazis in the same game... i love it!
-Growing enemy AI, they ain't stupid!
-You can play Wolfenstin 3d, one of my favs!
-Multiplayer, did i mention the multiplayer is awesome?
-B.J. is a funny name :)
-Best game since Halo, simply put

Overall 10/10(not an average... but the average equals the same thing)
I cannot stress this enough BUY THIS GAME!!!!! With all of the cool stuff you can get in it, It is worth the full 50 buckaroos! Not once did i put the controller down i wanted to keep playing this game, and i still do. Get it, Own it, beat it, beat it a few more times, and then try to tell me you hate this game. If i had to choose this or Halo, i would definatly take RtCW!
