"You will rip off your shirt when you are three hours into this."

Due to there not being many games in Blockbuster that looked any good, I decided to go out on a whim. I closed my eyes, spun around in about 10 circles(all the while people were staring at me) and then I pounced forward. Sadly, my skull slammed right into a shelf. So I tried it again, and my finger landed on the Hulk. So I picked it up and brought it home to give it a try.

Audio, Visual, and Presentation 5 out of 10

The audio in this game causes you to get a headache after listening to it for about a half an hour. There aren't many sounds that you make when you get hurt, and there are only about 2 different sounds when you throw objects. When enemies shoot guns at you, it sounds like a baseball card in bicycle spokes. And real guns don't sound like that. Overall, the sound is very bland.

The graphics are cel-shaded, but not like Wind Waker or Jet Set Radio Future. These graphics in the Hulk are very unique. They stand out as not annoying, but at the same time and you can have MANY enemies on the screen at once, and you will not experience any slowdown at all. Overall, Hulk looks badass with the color display. The surroundings aren't too bad, and most of the surroundings aren't cel-shaded. They are very bland though, with it being either a sewer, or a compound, or a facility. Not much variety with the textures.

This game has subtitles for people that are hearing-impaired, and it is easy to navigate the menus. Not there there are many menus, though, because there is just the pause menu, start menu, and options menu....

The controls in this game are so simplistic, even a comatose parrot could figure out how to play this game.

Gameplay 7 out of 10

At the beginning, this game can be pretty fun. The controls are simple, and you can beat some serious sense into enemies. When you fight, you get a sense that you are the Hulk, well, if you have multiple personalities you would. The game is a beat 'em up, so there isn't much substance in the gameplay. You collect orbs from defeated enemies which either recover your health or raise your power meter. Once you get your power meter full, you can unleash a combo which either shoots a very powerful blast at enemies, or you can pound the ground, severely injuring or killing any enemy in its range. The thing that made me cry was that you can't pick up a tank and whirl it around. I tried to pick up a tank only to be shot by its missile. What kind of BS is that?? The great thing is that you can pick up enemies and throw them at other enemies, which can be fun for about...oh...I'd say 10 minutes. Woo... hoo! That is the best aspect of the game. That, and throwing enemies off buildings. So either way, this game would be no fun if you couldn't pick people up and show them how to fly. Well, technically they only fly until they hit the ground. But you get the idea. You get no weapons, only your hands. That gets stale before even getting a chance to be fresh.

Story 3 out of 10

You have to sneak into a lab where you find a doctor that helps you, because you have a serious problem. When you get angry, you turn into the Hulk. I don't know what kind of nut would think that is actually a problem, but hey, what can you do? Anyways, instead of helping you, this doctor splits your power so he can have it too. He then runs away. You spend the whole damn game chasing him. How boring.

Buy this game! Now!

Hahaha! No! Just kidding! Please do not buy this. It gets so boring after about two hours. But once you find the game boring, you could find entertainment out of smashing the controller against your skull out of boredom. But popping in a different game would be a safer solution. Overall, a 4 out of 10 would be a fitting score for this game. It is now my coaster, by the way.
