NBA Street Vol. 2

Alas, NBA Street 2 is here. I was thinking about getting NBA 2K3 because I liked the previous 2K titles. Then I remembered that this came out. It was a tossup between realism and fun. I chose fun...

Graphics-9/10

The graphics are very detailed. The characters look pretty realistic and the backgrounds are colorful. Even the vans and other vehicles that pass by in the background look real. This doesn't push Xbox's potential but very nice anyway.

Sounds-9/10

It's pretty much the same sounds you would hear in any basketball game. I liked the fact that you can hear a spectator's cell ringing while you play sometimes(I actually thought it was my own home phone once). The sounds are very crisp and clear. You can hear the impact on the dunks and you can wait to use a gamebreaker2 to hear that more intensified ''BOOM''(more on GB's later).

Gameplay-10/10

This is where the true fun lies. Like in the previous version, this game has a gamebreaker. A gamebreaker is sort of a special move in which you add points to your score while deducting points from your opponent's score. You also have the option to pocket your gamebreaker and build your way up to a gamebreaker2, which is more devastating. EA really pumped Street 2 up with tons more dunks and tricks. There are also 3 fun modes and a tutorial. NBA Challenge, Be A Legend, Pickup, and Street School are the four main modes in this game. Blocking and stealing are pretty easy to do, so this game is really user-friendly. Just 3 words sums this all up:Fun, Fun, and Fun.

Replay Value-10/10

There are a lot of features and unlockables in this game. You can play NBA Challenge, Be A Legend, Street School, or Pick Up. You will probably play Be A Legend mode more than once(I already have 2 completed ballers and 2 more I'm working on). You can unlock a ton of things using reward points and playing through the game modes. This game will keep you busy for a while.

Buy or Rent: If you liked the first one then I definitely recommend this for you. If your a fan of basketball games I definitely recommend this for you. If your an Xbox owner who likes fun game I definitely recommend this for you. BUY IT if you want to have fun and RENT IT if you feel you want it but you're not sure.
