Madden NFL 2004

"Owner mode has arrived!"

Owner mode and playmaker has finally arrived! Owner Mode is a HUGE new mode of the franchise and you have to make the right moves in your franchise otherwise your team can eventually go bankrupt and disappear from the NFL.

You can move your team any where from LA to Hawaii and make the big moves to keep your team alive.

Playmaker also makes its debut in Madden NFL 2004 and is a very cool part of the game. YOU CAN FINALLY change your route of direction so say I am the Dolphins and Ricky Williams is ready to run a HB Sweep to the right but you got to extra linebackers on the right you can sweep the play to the left instead and catch them off guard as you pick up a great gain!

Playmaker is also great on defense so if your expecting a run to the right you can move the right thumbstick to the bottom right and have them move in.

Graphics: 9/10

Graphics are very good in Madden NFL 2004 and are great with the owner mode and other stuff added this year. Great job EA Sports!

Presentation: 7/10

Presentation is ok in Madden NFL 2004 but it is not on par with SEGA's ESPN NFL Football as it looks like your are watching a ESPN telecast but the presentation is ok in '04. The tutorials will also help first time players of Madden.

Controls: 9/10

Controls are very good in Madden with the addition of playmaker in '04 and is a very great addition to the game.

Sound: 8/10

Sound is very great in this game expect for basically the same commentary from Madden 03 expect for the new tidbits of commentary and sounds like Melissa Stark recorded no NEW commentary this year.

Overall score: 10/10

If you have $50 you should go pick it up RIGHT AWAY because it is a great game with the addition of owner mode, playmaker, and training camp in franchise. This game is a major improvement of Madden NFL 2003 as I have played it. This is the first year I have actually purchased Madden, because the Owner Mode sounds so good and I HIGHLY recommend picking up Madden NFL 2004 from your local store as you will be playing it all the time. I would also recommend at least trying ESPN NFL Football when it comes out as it looks like it will be a great game also. What are you waiting for?!?! GO GET MADDEN NFL 2004 NOW!!
